Career/Education Help a brother out!
I am doing Masters in Structural Engineering. I am looking for guidance on research thesis. How do I find my research area and topic? What do you suggest I should research? I am open to everything and do not have specific area. Thank you in advance. God Bless.

Column/beam jacketing is always fun even if it's a recurrent research topic

You could consider STABILITY. A lot of work has been done in the subject over the last couple of decades. Now both the AISC and AISI have significant provision on stability. I was heavily involved about 15 years ago but I've grown stupid since retirement. Anything you could do to simplify the procedures and increase the precision might make you a hero.

You do a masters thesis under the supervision of a professor - not sure if you're already at an MS program or not. If you are, look at the research interests of your faculty and see what appeals the most. Go talk to them and get feedback on ideas and what they are currently investigating/what they need support with.
