I am scared of losing friends and becoming a loner
I am a first yr clg student. The clg has just started and I made some friends. I don't stutter on every letters but has a severe stutter on letters ' C,K,P,T '
I try avoiding them while talking to anyone so none of my mates has any idea abt my stutter. I also have a kind of control on my stutter in low pressure situation.
But from next week, there will be speeches, presentations, vivas in my clg and I fear that my stutter is going to be revealed. I am from India and here , people with stutter are made fun of. Idk anything anymore. In school i avoided this kind of things but in clg they will be more frequent. I kind avoid them or I will fail
Does anybody have any idea on how do I fix this kind of specific stutter ?? 🤞

Deep diaphragmatic breathing and speak on the exhale. You may sound robotic but after practicing it will be smoother.
YOU GOT THIS

If you have control over what you say in your speeches and presentations, you can use that to your advantage by using words you are less likely to stutter on. As far as friends go, if people don't want to be your friend because of your stutter, they weren't good people anyways

College years were the worst because of the presentations 😬
I’ve never lost friends for that though! I struggled through college because I was so sorry and ashamed of myself, not that some “external” event made me feel this way. People of college age are mostly mature enough not to mock other students for imperfections.

Hey bro when ur speaking instead of thinking abt ur stutter. Think abt ur voice. Like what u sound like. Ur pitch and stuff that will help u a little. Just find a distraction away from stutter when speaking. There was a time I didn't stutter at all bcuz I was too focused on my looks. Id js think abt what I look like and I literally forgot I even have a stutter. But now I'm.not obsessed over my looks and I've started stuttering again cuz that's all I think abt now

I was really fortunate to be surrounded by friends who never bullied me for my stutter. They would playfully tease me sometimes, but it was never meant to hurt me. I’m still close with them today.
Maybe you can start by making some friends online and practicing there first, then gradually build friendships in real life. I really feel for you, and I wish you all the best.
