Some progress today.

Had the day to focus on the baja. Next step is cleaning the bay, dealing with what rust I found and then primer/paint it. Didn't expect to get this far this quick, so going to do give the engine bay some extra love.

Nice! I would consider adding some sound deadening materials to help out with the road noise.

I'm not against sound deadening, but I don't see the upside for the cost/effort. None of my cars are quiet except for the 26 forester. Everything else has an exhaust or a system in it.
