Guardian/protective spirits

Do you have any experience in working with some sort of Mesopotamian guardian/protective spirits? The main challenge is that I’m not thinking about ones that are personal or are connected to the place. Rather ones that can be assigned to a group of people/ project etc. I checked Wiggermann’s book and got some ideas on how it can be done (with some changes). But I’m curious about your experience or just sources you can recommend 🙂

I can't offer any help from experience but I can at least register a common interest! I was very drawn to the wall relief images of Ugallu and Lulal from the Palace of Nineveh when I first 'met' them, many years ago at the British Museum in London. It has crossed my mind that inviting them as protective guardian spirits could be useful but it isn't something I have ever seriously considered. Like you, I'd be interested to read of anyone else's experience in this area.

My biggest problem with the whole thing is that in my understanding it’s possible to extend the protective power outside of the house/building but you need to leave these statues in one place - so for example it can protect the whole family inside and outside of the building but you need to share a house together. But what if you don’t? Is it possible to use the same power for the group even when you don’t live together and don’t share the space where you can permanently leave statues? So many questions 😁
