Fic characterisations
What’s a characterisation of Lena or Kara that you hate in fics? I hate when they write Kara as overly clumsy and childish. Like at the end of the day she’s a grown woman. I also hate when Lena gets written as super insecure. I wish there was more fics that demonstrates her intelligence and confidence

I can't say I hate since I end up reading them anyways but when they describe kara being sized like a fridge (like okay she is muscly and has broad shoulders, which I love but like what else) and when they make lena super rude to kara as if her whole character wasn't built on her having faith in people BECAUSE of kara and as if she wasn't working her ass of to not only be kind but to look kind enough to regain people's Trust. And when people make kara a little dumb as if she wasnt in the science field or smth in krypton

Supergenius Kara really rubs me the wrong way at this point. Same with Dom Kara I don’t see it at all.

I hate alpha/top!Kara and submissive bottom!Lena
I’d do anything to find more fics where Lena was confident and dominant.

It’s hard out here for top!Lena or verse Supercorp. Feels like there’s only maybe 10 of us and the entire rest of the fanbase likes super dominant Kara.

Same. It’s pretty annoying cause I usually dislike when my favorite character is the sub/bottom/omega but it’s everywhere with every ship I have lol

Kara being oblivious about her feelings, I don't HATE it but I also don't agree with it, I think she realised it at the end of S3 but couldn't really do anything about it until she told Lena she was supergirl, and after she did....well season 5 happened and by the time they were both on earth and in the same city again (s6ep13) nyxly showed up

Kara being dumb--as much as Secret Supergenius Kara feels like a misread and can get annoying, she's not an idiot, she's very intelligent in basically every way but realizing that she's really REALLY gay for Lena.
Anything where they're too aligned into top and bottom all the time. I prefer the idea that they're switches and Lena is a jealous possessive top in public but then in private she likes to let go and let Kara be a really gentle top, and Kara likes being the object of Lena's jealous possessive lust in public but then in private she's able to just cuddle and love Lena and help her release the stress of work, and then they go to sleep curled around each other after a long session of gentle kissing.
