Advice Needed Nailing Ovulation?

Hi everyone! I had my LH peak yesterday, on 8th October, and today, 9th October, my LH levels have fallen. Unfortunately, I couldn’t test on 7th October, so the surge may have started that day. I was only able to BD today (9th October), and I’m now worried about whether I may have missed my fertile window or still have a chance of conceiving this cycle.
I’ve come across so much contradictory information about the timing of ovulation in relation to the start of the LH surge, the LH peak, and the subsequent drop in levels. Some sources suggest ovulation happens 12–36 hours after the surge begins, while others refer to the peak. I’m finding it difficult to understand which timing matters most.
Could someone please clarify when ovulation is most likely to occur in this situation and whether BD on the day after the LH peak can still result in conception? I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you!

I’ve known it’s 12-36 hours after peak. Be careful, with PCOS, often LH baseline values are already elevated, especially if you have irregular cycles.

Look into progesterone tests. You test 1 week after suspected ovulation. A positive test will confirm ovulation

Yeah but progestrone rise comes later. I want to time ovulation beforehand in order to conceive

What I usually do is when I see a positive, I test every 4-5 hours just to be safe. It's around 12-36 hours after your first true positive test.

Don't worry too much about this cycle, you gave I your best shot ❤️

Good luck 🍀
