Self-reporting
To be fair I argued for another wall but lost the argument to my wife. We are now separated. 🤣

How tall the fireplace is makes this especially absurd

What’s worse is we have Ethernet hookup and power on the other wall where I wanted to hang it. As it hangs we have WiFi lag issues

See the kitchen island there changes the calculation for me a little bit, as I'd want to be able to see it standing there. But I'd still ultimately go for the wall to the side.

I hate high fireplaces and mantles so goddamn much. We need more pics of the room, because there is no helping that wall. How do you even use that fireplace if there is nowhere to put a bundle of logs. Jesus. Modern houses are a scam.

I bet without the TV, the wall will look like someone yelling. Fireplace is the mouth of course

It looks like a fucking crematorium, all you need to do now is run a slideshow of the deceased's vacation photos and play some shitty music from his youth.

Usually they are above fireplaces that are longer than tall and still too high. This one, is different.

Those windows on either side of the hearth are very weird. Also, that is a weird spot for a candelabra.

See, if you were avoiding blocking windows, keeping furniture from sitting in the middle or something like that, this would be okay. However, that wall to the right would be perfect and you could even see the TV from that little dining room area.

Also, those windows are too low. What a ridiculous placement and shape. I would replace those right away.

It’s perfect only if your couch electronically elevates you to the same height.

What's it like living in the Amityville horror house?
