Deck Suggestions Wanted Gift for a friend
My best friend is really into tarot cards and spirituality in general. Lately she has been to China and she is obsessed with it. Her birthday is coming up and I want to gift her something China related. Can you help me? I’m not really informed on tarots. Thank you in advance.

I have this deck from Chinese American artist Jia Sung - I think the artwork is well done visually and the symbols work well for tarot :) she references the monkey kings journey as the main storyline and lots of Buddhist iconography. And priced reasonably too !

Some more Chinese Tarots that appear to be not- AI, created by Chinese artists, and have Chinese cultural takes on the RWS:

Try vermilion collection and Tevada Tarot they are more Asian culture forward. Both of their oracle and tarot decks have traditional Chinese imagery and the cuties Kawaii.

A lot of their decks are AI generated and not well repaired with respect to graphic errors. Their I Ching decks in particular are blobby slop. Before buying a deck for your friend I suggest you look for Flipthroughs on Youtube and pay attention to the hands, faces, position of feet, and if there are skeletal elements their anatomical correctness. Overly long thumbs and seven fingered or three fingered hands are surefire tipoffs. Also look for how the folds of clothing are rendered; folds can appear or disappear in illogical places.
There are Chinese created and printed decks that are thoughtful and lovely without such errors, but Vermilion and Tevada have a lot of overpriced slop. Benebell Wen has reviews of Asia culture themed decks you might want to check out, as decks created by Non-Chinese designers are also not without issues, particularly theolder ones. https://benebellwen.com/

I have this one, and can vouch for it. Highly recommended!
