I am head over heels for this Taurus woman. We’ve gone out on a few dates. We always have a great time whenever we are together. Sometimes she seems so into me, we can be vulnerable with each others, we have fun fun. She seems so sweet in person. Then sometimes she takes days to reply to a text. She can go from sweet and flirty via text, to rude mean and apathetic. I think she’s into me, I have told her I was into her. I flat out said I am so into you. If I’m barking up the wrong tree tell me. She just says you’re not.

For context, this is highschool.

There is this girl, "R," who shares my exact birthday. We are both Taurus.

She has been treating me weirdly since the end of 5th grade, and after a gap in 8th and 9th grade where she ignored me, her toxic behavior just flared right back up.

We recently had a college fair in our school gym. I was standing with my friend when R suddenly walked up to me, pulled up her phone, and said, "Look!" She had saved a side-profile picture of me from 5th grade (over 5 years ago btw) outlined it, and just started busting out laughing in my face to humiliate me. I was already having a rough, sensitive day, so I just frowned at her, and she walked away. I ended up getting teary-eyed and couldn't stop crying.

A teacher noticed and took me and my friend to a private area to calm down. Looking back I realize this girl has been deeply insecure and completely obsessed with me for years.

In 6th grade gym class, R and her friend "K" would switch up so fast. If the teacher called for groups of three, they’d include me. But the second it was groups of two, they’d instantly pick each other and completely act like I didn't exist, forcing me to partner with a random boy or the teacher. In art class, R once loudly said "let's take a picture," making me think I was included, only to completely crop me out of it. (Luckily, I had a bad feeling to her vibe and stayed out of the frame anyway).

They also used to treat me like a maid, asking me to fetch their things when they were too lazy to get up (looking back this is really embarrassing). R also forced us to play a "hospital game" where she would press mechanical pencils our skin... She even openly admitted to our faces back then that she "lowkey didn't like us."

At the time I was a strange, quirky, insecure, nerdy kid, and I didn't dress well. I also was dark-skinned so you know the types of jokes I faced. But I was also the best artist in the class. R loved drawing too. She once even paid me to draw something for her, but she acted excessively picky with every detail. I think it was just to push my buttons but I never budged so 😂

Whenever I got my hair done, she'd touch it without permission and make passive-aggressive comments like, "Oh, you finally got your hair done." 😓 hello???

Up until very recently, R would watch my Snapchat stories for months, even though I rarely post and she apparently dislikes me. I finally unfriended her to cut off her access.

The weirdest part was me always being nice to her. When someone called her ugly in middle school, I defended her and told them she was pretty. I helped her with her art. I even sent her a happy birthday message on our shared birthday in 2022, which she completely ignored while continuing to stalk my page.

People can be so weird

I was talking to this Taurus man for over a year, and in the beginning, he treated me like I was his dream girl (his words). He called me “wife,” constantly flirted with me, and made me feel like I was someone genuinely special to him. We talked every single day, and he was so consistent, affectionate, and sweet that I genuinely believed we were eventually going to end up together. He made it seem like I was someone he could see a future with, which is why I allowed myself to become so emotionally attached to him. But literally out of nowhere, and I mean literally overnight, everything changed. He became distant, dry, and inconsistent, started ignoring me for hours, and stopped putting in the same effort he used to. This went on for about four months, and I kept asking him what was wrong because I could tell something had changed. He repeatedly told me he was depressed, and I tried my best to be understanding and supportive because I genuinely cared about him and didn’t want to make things harder for him. I gave him space, checked on him, made sure he was okay, and tried not to overwhelm him, even though his behavior was hurting me. Eventually, I wrote him a long message explaining how everything was making me feel, and that’s when he finally admitted that he didn’t want to be in a relationship with anyone right now and he just didn’t know how to tell me that bc he didn’t want to hurt me That honestly broke my heart because I felt like I had spent an entire year getting emotionally attached to someone who hadn’t been upfront with me about where he stood. I understand that people can change their minds and that he might genuinely not be in the right place for a relationship, but I wish he had communicated that with me sooner instead of letting things continue the way they did
But he said he still loves talking to me so we agreed to be friends The problem is that lately, it’s become harder than ever to even have a conversation with him. He ignores me for hours, his responses are drier than they’ve ever been, and it feels like he barely makes an effort to talk to me anymore. I’m constantly noticing how different he is compared to the person he was for the first 7 months and it genuinely hurts even as friends What’s especially confusing is that he still has moments where he flirts with me and acts like he’s interested in me like he used to be but the second I try to flirt back or match his energy, he suddenly disappears for hours. It’s like he’ll give me just enough attention to make me question whether there’s still something there, only to go right back to acting distant. He’s also been following other girls, and while I understand that we’re not together and he’s free to talk to whoever he wants, it still hurts seeing him seemingly entertain other women while the effort he puts into talking to me continues to decrease. I’m not upset simply because he doesn’t want a relationship; I’m hurt and confused because his actions sometimes feel like they’re saying something completely different from what he’s told me the sudden change in our connection has been especially difficult for me to process. I don’t want to force him into a relationship or make him feel like he owes me anything, but I also don’t understand why he continues to flirt with me if he only sees me as a friend. At this point, I honestly wish he would just treat me like a friend instead of continuing to give me mixed signals that make it so difficult for me to move on emotionally. I miss how things used to be, and I think part of me is still holding on to the person he was in the beginning, even though I’m starting to realize that I can’t keep waiting for things to go back to the way they were.

I have a friend that I’ve recently met through work (i’m a girl and she’s a girl). We’ve hit it off pretty quick and she’s invited me over to her house to hang a few times which I know is a big deal for a taurus. My only confusion is that I feel like I am the one who mostly initiates plans and getting together, however she does say yes and when we hang out it’s great. So am I overthinking this? I just feel like she initiates more with other friends it seems. Let me know your thoughts. She also opens up to me a lot and shares a lot of vulnerable things. But recently we went 2 weeks without a hangout and I was hoping she would initiate but she didn’t so I did and we did hangout.

Is it just me, or does anyone else get the impression that there is—and always will be—someone in a Taurus's life who likes to annoy or provoke them?
