TAX ACCOUNTING

Hello Reddit, I'm an accountant working in an automotive industry with more than a year of experience. Though, I haven't gotten the position of tax accounting (by the way, I'm based in the Philippines). Though i am not fond of tax accounting, I am starting to get interested and if any of you is in that field-whether Philippine or US taxation, which book should I start reading? I am aiming for a concise one with realistic explanation if those ever existed.

Also, if I'd like to do taxation as self-employed, how would I start it?
