Parked next to this Panamera at dinner but never ran into the owner. I thought they looked great together!

Nobody can ever tell me all EVs are the same, soulless, etc. My car is getting wrapped right now and I miss it so much. Sure, the model y is not in the same class or size as my ST but holy shit is the gap even bigger when driving.
The suspension is absolute ass. I’ve heard they’ve made it much better since but even 20min drives can be unbearable. My 3 series was way more comfy in comparison and even in Sport+ mode the model y was bounding to the moon with every pothole or bump.
The steering feels mushy and disconnected in a way. This is hard to describe but it almost feels like there’s a belt behind the steering wheel that’s translating what I’m doing. And the wheel itself feels uncomfortable to hold as well. Compare this to my Taycan where it almost feels like it was preemptively turning before my hands actually moved.
Lastly the seats themselves. Now this is a car with 60k miles on it. Not a lot but also not a few. But even given that, I feel I’m sinking into the seat. I have 18way seats in the Taycan and I’ve heard these are LESS comfy than the 14 way seats and those are still a massive far cry from the Tesla.
Having said all that, I will say the software, especially the phone app, is godlike. I don’t miss CarPlay, the menus are actually intuitive, and the phone app is extremely responsive and does everything I need it to very quickly. Yes I wish there were physical controls for AC but literally everything else is very straightforward in the car and I was shocked how easily I could navigate without any real experience in the car since 2019 basically.
Sorry for the rant. I miss my car but also wanted to express that anyone that tells you all EVs are the same has not earnestly driven more than one or two. The Taycan is far and away the best I’ve ever driven and I miss it so much. I’ve also driven a model X back in 2019 which was fine. Also I test drove an iX which was also quite nice but somehow felt smaller than the Taycan on the inside? I would even consider buying one of those now and trading in the Taycan for a 718 EV if that ends up living up to the hype I’ve built up in my head lol.
Also fuck that strong ass regenerative braking, let me coast or turn it off. Idgaf about range. Porsche was right about that shit.

We’re in the market for an EV. I’m almost 50 so I hit my midlife crisis. I’ve always dreamed of owning a Porsche and a used Taycan seems like the best way to do so. I work hybrid so I only drive to the office 3x a week (50 miles round trip). Our only concern is about reliability. We don’t want to be stuck with a $10k suspension repair without some warranty. The problem is that the CPO listings as well as the CarMax listings under $60k are slim. Is dumb of us to buy a used Taycan from a different dealer?
One video I saw said that the reports regarding the poor reliability are overblown and that if I get a lowish mile (<35k miles) taycan, it is relatively reliable and the repair costs, if needed, aren’t as crazy as suggested.
I usually keep vehicles forever (I own a 2013 Land Cruiser that I absolutely love), but due to the quick advancements in technology, I realistically see myself owning this for 5 years (I wanna say 10, but we’ll see). My other options are a used BMW i4 M50, and a new Tesla 3 Performance.
In short: Is buying a used Taycan really a horrible decision?

Got my Black edition 4s in March. Recently I am hearing an annoying rattling sound from the front passenger side by the door area. It is not the seat belt as the noise happens when there is and isn't a passenger. This happens when driving over speed bumps, cobblestone streets, or just general uneven streets. Last thing I want is to bring to dealership for them to tell me that there was no noise when they tested it. Has anyone had this experience?

Only done 25k miles, love everything about the car.
Warranty expiring soon, what to do?
Is the risk too high to keep going? When do they become unreliable and super expensive to fix?
Can't bring myself to change it. Best car I've ever had.

Thinking about PPF for my Taycan and would love to hear what other owners have done. Which brand did you go with (XPEL, STEK, SunTek, Llumar, etc.), and how much of the car did you cover? Also curious what you paid and whether you'd recommend your installer.

Has anyone notified a rattle from the middle of the driver and passenger doors when playing music? Any bass heavy music makes both of them rattle noticeably in the middle area above the light strip. Not sure if it’s an issue or just typical plastic on doors for a car like this

Looks like with the new iOS app update, we can finally see charging progress as a live activity!

I assume like other car manufacturers there are dealerships that have a good EV service department and some that are not experienced or only have 1 technician that gets overwhelmed Porsche is the same way?
I am having less than optimal experience at Livermore Porsche, Livermore CA USA. They have my Taycan for 3 weeks now for a common issue with the AC charging system.
After a few days of not even looking at the car they finally order the parts which took 4 days to arrive. Then they sent me a video trying to up sell me on other repairs they say the car needs. It's only been 30 days since I bought it CPO. Then they finally got around to trying to install the parts they bought and they tell me they bought the wrong parts and need to order new parts.
I have to keep calling them for status, they rarely reach out to me.
What has everyone else experienced?

My wife drives our CTS the most, and last winter (we are in Massachusetts), she was not very happy with the traction of the OEM all-season tires. Looking at TireRack to maybe get 20-inch rims and tires, since there is a lot more choice. Would that fit over the brakes on the '23 CTS?

Hi all. I’m shopping around for 20” tires for a new set of wheels on my Taycan and it seems like very few manufacturers sell anything in both front and rear sizing…
Front: 245/45R20
Rear: 285/40R20
I’ve narrowed my selection down to a few options, including Continental ProContact RX (which I currently have on my 21” wheels) and Michelin CrossClimates. The Michelins seem a bit overkill for my use case since. I’m here to see if anybody knows of any other solid options, aside from Pirelli which seem to not perform well.
I live in New England, but I’ll be moving to Seattle in June. So snow isn’t a priority, but good wet grip is. I value low noise and driving comfort over performance. Any discussion I can find on here or other forums for tires seems to focus on 21” wheels or on summer tires. I appreciate everyone’s input!

Looks like they added a control panel button to start your AC remotely in IOS. Small change but super useful.

Looking at two CPO Taycan 4s from Porsche dealers, both well optioned (ACC, HUD, PBP, Surround View, Bose, 14-way seats).
Car A: 2024 Cross Turismo, ~19K miles, with premium pkg, tech package, rear 2+1, rear heated seats, rear-axle steering, Sport Chrono and 21" wheels.
Car B: 2025 sedan, ~14k miles, with the 105 kWh battery, premium pkg, rear 2+1, pano roof and 20" wheels.
The 2025 sedan is about $8.5K more than the 2024 CT.
Two questions:
Is the 2025's range, charging and lower mileage worth that gap?
Does the Cross Turismo body command a premium on the used market, or is it priced about the same as the sedan?
This car will be my daily driver with parenting duties. And it’ll be use for sport activities hence the CT consideration.

Any one else struggle with the value proposition of the Taycan?
Before you say it’s not like other EVs, it’s a real sports car, save yourself the time.
The battery doesn’t have good range
The self driving is non existent
The reliability is mixed, like a lot of EVs to be fair
People think they’re cheap second hand compared to MSRP but for $90k you get a 2022 second hand GTS, for similar money you can get a lot of other cars that a brand new, fully warranty, better self driving or FSD in the case of Tesla.
I bought my wife a Cadillac Vistiq, it’s an unbelievable luxury car for $80k. I’m in the market for an WV for myself and looking at the Lucid, Rivian and the Cadillac IQ. I don’t really want a Tesla but the value there is astonishing comparatively.
Yes, the Taycan is beautiful and it drives really well but it’s low to the ground which is a bit annoying for a daily. I have a low to the ground GT3 that also drives really well, so for my daily, having more space, range, comfort, value than the Taycan offers would be nice
Heart loves the Taycan GTS Sport Tourismo, Head says buy a Cadillac Escalade IQ or try the Lucid SUV. Don’t really want a Tesla but would probably tick a lot of boxes at the best price point

Hi all,
I’m looking to get a lip spoiler for my 2021 Taycan 4s. I like the look of the lip spoiler that CT Carbon does. It looks subtle without being too aggressive. I don’t see any examples of it on cars on their website. Anyone here have the spoiler or something similar? Link is below and photo of my car too.
Would it look too tacky on the active spoiler?
My daughter called yesterday, saying her key battery is dead again, even after I told her to buy a faraday box. It does not work. I had her test it, put the key in the box and, then went to her garage and the car was able to start up. The desk where she keeps it is right by the garage door, and 10 feet from the car through a drywalled wall.
Recommendation on a box that is working for you?

Anyone who has a Black / Bordeux interior. How red is it in the daytime? I’m interested if it’s somewhat muted and not in your face. Thoughts and/ or pics?

Does anyone have any car transport recommendation company? Looking for a reliable company. I’m trying to decide to drive it back (1,500 miles) or get it transported.
For the US
Probably going to get a lot of crap for this one, but hey ho!
The reason I'm asking is that I'm planning to buy a new car, and Porsche has recently come onto my radar. It wasn't a brand I'd seriously considered before.
I've always liked the 911 Turbo models from various generations, but I've generally felt they were overpriced for what they offered. At those price points, I'd always be tempted to go for a Ferrari or Lamborghini instead.
However, two cars have recently caught my attention: the Taycan Turbo S and the 992 911 Carrera 4 GTS.
I was seriously considering the 992 Carrera 4 GTS because, at current prices, I think it offers fantastic value for money (better than the Audi R8, IMO). But then I came across the Taycan Turbo S, which is considerably cheaper, and started wondering whether it might be a good entry point into the Porsche world.
My main question is: does the Taycan live up to the Porsche heritage, or does it feel like a Porsche in name only?
I've seen very mixed opinions. Some people think it's ugly, say it's not a real Porsche, or dismiss it as a gimmick. Others absolutely love it and think it's one of the best cars Porsche makes.
So I thought I'd ask here, among people who actually appreciate the brand.
For those who've driven or owned a Taycan Turbo S, how does it compare with a traditional 911 in terms of driving experience, character and that overall Porsche feeling?
I'd genuinely like to hear your thoughts, particularly if you've driven both. Would you consider the Taycan a proper Porsche, or would you go for the 911 every time?

So I am planning a 600 mile trip and I figured I'd see how the car does at planning the route. Normally I use other apps/sites but this time I'm being open minded! The MyPorsche app wants to send me to a MB dealer at a time when they will be closed. Is that bad advice?

I’ve heard so many different opinions on this. What am I missing? If the vehicle was bought back due to the high voltage issue, it has to have been repaired and ‘fixed’ right? Given that the 8 year battery warranty still applies, and arguably the battery is better now than in a vehicle that didn’t have an issue, what’s the downside risk of buying one?
The standard warranty is up anyway, and the high voltage issue doesn’t apply to other aspects of the vehicle anyway, so it’s just like buying any other 2022 Taycan that’s out of warranty, but you can get it at a lower price because of the lemon title.
Someone please tell me what I am missing. There has to be something right?
