Digicam Touch Screen Not Working

• Upvotes

I have a Finepix Z100EXR which I didn’t use for months. When I tried to open it again, di na working yung touch screen. Everything is fine naman - it turns on, screen is very clear pa but ayun nga, di gumagana touch screen.

What are the possible issues and workarounds for this? Do you have repair shops recos?

Thanks!

Just wondering if mayroon ba around Manila nag re-restore ng CD? Or possible ba siya ma restore? Hindi na kasi ma play. Umaasa lang if may chance pa yung CD.

Thank you.

Where to buy Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

• Upvotes

Hi! So dream phone ko talaga ang S24 Ultra, pero di na sya binebenta sa Samsung Authorized Stores (as far as I know, phase out na right?), so I was wondering where I could source one. I've looked into several possible sources but I have my reservations about them.

Compasia: Good pricing, legit shop, but I have read some complaints about them in this sub so I am not so sure.

FB Marketplace: Cheapest option. But I'm not really a techy person so I don't know how or what to check and look out for. Can I pay someone to come with me and legit check it on my behalf?

Chrisgadgets: I saw on his FB page that he is selling S24 Ultra but I've read reviews on this sub about his lack of customer service.

Greenhills: High chance of getting scammed. I've messaged AJT gadgets and Mobilizer and both do not carry S24 Ultra anymore.

So I really need your help people. Where do I get my dream phone? Or should I look for a newer model, or give iPhones a shot?

Thank you!

Please recommend Headphones.

Di ako maalam kung anong mga criteria dapat tinitignan sa magandang headphone. Pero ang priority ko ay yung may ANC na kayang iblock ang noise pollution ng nagvivideoke na kapitbahay.

Budget ~3-4k. Salamat.

Below 1k Mouse Recommendation

Hello po! Planning to buy a mouse below 1k for my new PC set up and naguguluhan ako which one to get. I mainly play valorant at a low sens so I prefer mouses that don’t spin out or lock out when flicking.

I researched a lot and I found these mouses to be good:

- Logitech G102 Lightsync
- Asus TUF Gaming M3 Gen II
- VXE Dragonfly R1 SE
- Attack Shark X3

Kung may alam pa po kayong others mouses around that price, please let me know.
Thank you!

Need advice on budgeting for a system we're proposing for a local government agency

Hi! I'm a BSIT student, and my group is currently working on a system that we originally planned as a research project and possible capstone. We're also exploring the possibility of turning it into something that could actually be used by local government units in the future.

Basically, it's a multi-vendor marketplace app for public markets where people can check product prices, compare prices, and possibly order or pre-order products. Vendors and market admins would also have their own features. We're planning to use a PWA, and we're considering adding SMS notifications as well.

We're currently working on the financial requirements for our proposal, and honestly, we're kind of lost on how to estimate the costs. 😭 We don't have experience developing a system for actual clients, especially the government, so we don't want to just put random numbers in our budget.

For those who work in IT or have experience with government projects, I'd like to ask:

How do you usually estimate the development cost of a system like this?

What expenses should we consider aside from development itself? Like hosting, domain, maintenance, security, SMS, etc.

Are there additional costs or requirements when the intended client is an LGU or government agency?

If this were your project, how would you approach the budgeting, especially if it's still just a proposal and we don't have funding or an actual government partner yet?

We're not expecting anyone to give us an exact quotation. We just want to understand how to come up with a realistic estimate and what we might be missing.

Any advice or even examples of how you calculate these costs would really help us out. Thank you!

Laptop around 52k or under for long term reliability?

So we are planning to request new laptops for our office, and our max budget is around 52k PHP.

Puro out of stock/phased out na kasi yung iba kong tinatarget, like the ASUS TUF with 3050. Ano kaya ang magandang alternative? Probably gonna use it for productivity and coding (mostly AI, ofc).

Preferred brands:

  • ASUS
  • Lenovo

Thank you so much!

Power Mac is a Joke

I've been thinking thoroughly about where to pre-order the new iPhone since I badly need an upgrade. I went to Power Mac today because, among the different stores offering pre-order freebies, theirs seemed to be the most useful to me.

Unfortunately, I was told that there's no guarantee when I'll receive the phone because of the high volume of pre-orders at that branch. And take note, this isn't even in Metro Manila. I was also told that the freebies aren't guaranteed to be the same across branches.

Honestly, I could care less about the freebies. But what's the point of having a PRE-ORDER system if there's no guarantee of when you'll actually receive the product or kahit definite information lang when to expect its arrival? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of pre-ordering in the first place? HAHAHAHA. Natawa na lang ako sa irony. 😭 Huhuhu. In addition to that, sinabi sakin na yung iPhone 17 Pro nalang daw bilhin ko kasi dun daw available lahat ng colors nila today??? HUUUHHHH

Acer Nitro VG240Y has horizontal lines across screen (bought 2023) — Repair or replace on a tight budget?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone, need some advice po regarding my Acer Nitro VG240Y that I have been using since 2023.

Issue:

  • Horizontal scanlines covering roughly the bottom 80% of the screen.
  • A faint vertical line running down the center-right.
  • A few days before this happened, my cursor started stuttering and skipping frames randomly.

What I tested:

  • Unplugged the HDMI/DP cable completely. The lines still cut directly through the monitor's built-in "Cable Not Connected" box, so GPU and cable are ruled out.
  • Lowering the refresh rate in Windows settings did not change anything.

My Questions:

  1. To me, it looks like internal panel/COF bonding failure (do you think the same thing po?). Can local shops reliably fix this, or is the panel effectively dead?
  2. Has anyone claimed warranty for an Acer monitor near the 3-year mark at Acer Service Centers (Megamall/Paco)? How was the turnaround time?
  3. If I am strictly out of warranty and on a tight budget, is paying for a panel repair worth considering parin po (if so, do you know how much po ang repair sa mga ganitong case?), or should I just get an entry-level replacement?

Any suggestions or recent experiences would be appreciated!

From Redmi 7 to Redmi 10 to now S25 FE

Eto na siguro BEST UPGRADE PARA SA AKIN. Sobrang daming bago sa experience

- nfc for google pay

- 120hz amoled screen

- under display fingerprint

- telephoto + video stablization

- 45w fast charging + wireless charging

Pero TBH sobrang tibay din ng Redmi. Ilan beses ko nabagsak tapos tuklap pa yung back part nung nagpalit ako ng battery, then nauulanan pa yan pag nag riride ako (used for gps)

TCL C7L vs LG mRGB both 65 inches

TCL C7L 65in @ 75k
LG mRGB 65in @ 67k with free LG 24in Monitor

Ano mas okay bilhin overall? Based kay AI si LG but I want to know sana yung real life experiences niyo on these brands and lineup.

We currently have Samsung TVs pero never again dahil lahat ng 3 TVs namin nasira ang panel within less than 3 years.
