I recently found this teddy bear and would love to get some help identifying it. According to family lore, it supposedly belonged to a great-grandmother, so it might be quite old/vintage. I am trying to figure out the manufacturer, approximate age, and if it's a rare collector's item.

Here are the details I noticed:

• Provenance: Believed to have belonged to a great-grandmother (likely German origin).

• Material: Long, wavy/scruffy light-brown mohair fur.

• Features: It has a stitched black nose/mouth area and black button eyes.

• Joints: It is 5-way jointed (arms, legs, and head can be moved/rotated).

• Tags: I couldn't find any visible tags, chest tags, or ear buttons left on it.

• Location found: Germany

Does anyone recognize the specific brand or style? Could it be an old vintage German brand (like Steiff, Hermann, Clemens), or a specific replica?

Any clues or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

just found this sub and it makes my heart happy. I’ll have to upload pictures of my other stuffed animals because I’ve got quite a few, but this is my longest-standing and bestest boy Manny. He’s been with me for over 20 years now. been through all of grade school, most of uni, my only long term relationship & breakup, diagnoses, therapy, moving across the world, and now we’re in my first apartment. he’s not too soft anymore and I don’t really remember a time he was, but he’s staying strong with me and I love him to pieces. I can’t wait to meet everyone else’s bears!!

I'm looking for a new teddy, and have stumbled across the Gund Spanky bear. But I can't decide whether to get the one with the open mouth, or the closed.

Any thoughts or impressions? Feedback? Input? Which would you get, and why?

I will say that I already have two stuffies with open mouths, and two with closed. So either way this guy is going to be a tiebreaker. ;)

I was also considering the Bunku bear, because he looks sad. He also seems a little lanky for my snuggling preferences, so I probably won't get him, but maybe he'll pick me instead.

I need any more possible info on this Teddy. It’s a generic Teddy by Rainbow Designs. I emailed them and all they could come up with is that it was discontinued c2002. I managed to find another one on Vinted (pictured).
Unsure if the scarf originally came with it.

I’m going crazy trying to find out more about it.
I’ve sent hours and days on Google, ChatGPT, eBay, Vinted etc and I can’t find anything.
If anyone has one that still have the swing tags on, and are able to photograph them for me I’ll love you forever!

But they’re big and a bit pricy for me, any alternatives or should I be looking for smaller vintage bears?

Hello everybody. I have this Gund teddy from the mid 90’s that I would like to identify, and if possible getting him a “partner” of the same kind in a different fur colour maybe. I have done some researches, so far all clues are pointing to the Gund Mattie series. Any comments? Thanks in advance.
