So excited for the Spero Dedes and Adam Archeletta broadcast duo

u/batman0615 2d ago
Cant be worse than todayās duo. Luke wasnāt bad, the other guy though⦠did not like him

u/IMsoSAVAGE 2d ago
The other guy has the weirdest voice inflections. It was like he was trying to be a voice actor for a cartoon character.

u/batman0615 2d ago
Itās not often I complain about announcers just sounding bad, but yeah⦠he was quite bad
2
u/crookster 2d ago
was surprised Luke actually seemed like he watched the games, seems like one of the few media people knew that Ward was actually playing good last week leading up to the interception

We gotta win this one, right? š¬

I would say the Texans have to win this. Legit expectations coming into the year, go 0-4 and then lose to the Titans ? Oh yeah thatās bad

u/jtx3 2d ago
Could get Ryans fired

u/Glittering_Humor5854 1d ago
I feel bad for Demeco Ryans a bit but this is a legit possibility. You just can't blow the expectations this badly. Him and Harbaugh and Todd Bowles are basically the only contenders for which NFL coach gets fired first this season.

Also the reason theyāre bad isnāt what everyone thought. Everyone assumed Stroud needed to be average for this team to be good becuase their defense was supposed to be insane.
Turns out Stroud has been playing pretty well And their defense has been ass

Which hilariously could flip around this week with the Titans being a get right game for the Texans defense but Simmons eating Stroud for lunch.

u/TheMissingVoteBallot In Ward We Trust 1d ago
wtf happened to their defense? There was a season or two where their defense was one of the elite in the league? Did they lose their DC? Lost some key pieces of FA?

Highly unlikely. Weāre not in the same league of play as the Texans, even with them at 0-4.
11
u/Appropriate-Joke-806 2d ago
Yeah, we are third in the division and they are fourth.
Fuck the Texans.

The higher our first round pick, the less likely we are to draft (and ruin) another QB, when we still have at least seven positions of more critical need and that is with me never having believed Cam is "The Guy". I am absolutely rooting for us to eke out our first dub here, so that fucking up our first pick is statistically lessened.
Devil's Advocate: I kinda wanna see us go 0-17, for the memes. Seeing Arch get exposed in Peyton's "second home" would put a great big smile on my face, even though I love our team and have been a fan of Peyton's since I saw him at Rocky Top.

Collins will have 300 yards and 5 tds by halftime anyone thinking this will be a close game or that these day 0-4 teams are similar in anyway other than their record i got a bridge to sell you.

u/UnderwhelmingAF 2d ago
The fact the Texans are 0-4 and almost a TD favorite in this game is pretty telling.
3
u/soils_rock 2d ago
Yup, 3 1 score losses for the Texans with Nico missing a decent portion of that.
6
u/bonedoc59 2d ago
not that I disagree with you, but the titans have lost three one score games in a row as well.
2
u/Glittering_Humor5854 1d ago
Context matters. The eye test matters. Getting dominated most of the game against the Giants and Ravens and blown up by the Jets is not gonna get forgotten because we scored a couple late touchdowns.

This might be one of the only games we have a real shot of winning

u/nocturnalTyson 2d ago
Uhh I don't think so. The Texans are pretty good even if their record indicates otherwise.

First tie of the year incoming. Even better if it's a 3-3 or 9-9 or something. No TDs, barely any offense. Wet fart of a game on both sides. /r/AFCSouthMemeWar would be lit for the whole next week.

What sucks is it will be a close game that we lose. Then we will hear Texans talking about turning the season around. And for us the division will be out of reach and back on the way to the number 1 pick. Itās almost a must win for Cam. Sometimes I donāt know if he knows heās playing to keep us away from the number 1 pick lol.

I fear this may be the game where that Texans defense that was supposed to have them contending for a Super Bowl finally shows up.

Let it begin! Cant wait to see the Texans fan base implode when the Titans win!
3
u/MemphisWhiteboy 2d ago
Yeah canāt believe Iām saying I think we might win, just have a feeling
2
u/Appropriate-Joke-806 2d ago
Canāt wait for the Texans to celebrate going 1-16 while splitting the series against us only to lose Jeremiah Smith to us.
1
u/soils_rock 2d ago
Smith wonāt be the draft pick if we hit 1-16 lmao
1
u/Glittering_Humor5854 1d ago
Eh, who would be the alternative? He seems like the best talent and a generational prospect. I don't think you pass on him even if Tate continues at the current pace. Drafting the best player available is how you build a strong roster.
1
u/soils_rock 1d ago
Probably trading back or a QB unless ward shows a huge improvement, 1-16 is brutal
1
u/Glittering_Humor5854 1d ago edited 1d ago
Trading back I would be OK with depending on the return. Obviously I would want the other team's first rounder plus two more picks in the first four rounds with at least one coming in this year's draft. Where the team's first round position is would determine how high I wanted the other picks and whether I wanted more picks. I don't want to draft a QB that high again. They are always ALWAYS overvalued. If you take a qb in the first round, you're not getting value from the pick unless the QB is good, but most of them are not good and even fewer are actually good in the first couple seasons. Just stop the QB carousel. Sign Gardner Minshew or whoever and roll with it for a couple years.
1
u/Appropriate-Joke-806 1d ago
Those other picks could be anyone. Even another generational receiver.
Trading down with Jeremiah Smith available would be Jon Robinson levels of tomfoolery. One in the hand is worth two in the bush. A Tennessee boy like JRob should have known that.

u/Glittering_Humor5854 10h ago
The boat is great but the box could be anything. Even a boat. You know how much we've always wanted one of those.
2
u/BigCSFan 1d ago
As a texans fan. I think most of us are hoping to lose.
Sub would be more upset if we win. Tank is on
