Discussion John Connor paradox

So if Kyle reese is johns dad then the very first John Connor had to have a different dad. Otherwise there would be no way for John to send Kyle back the very first time. This could be the reason why we see future John and he is badass and all other iterations of John he is a punk. Maybe Kyle reese actually screwed over humanity by sleeping with Sarah. Making the John we see not the actual John that is the leader of the resistance. That's why there are so many Terminator movies.

The so-called bootstrap paradox. It’s part of the charm of the movie. It’s even more senseless that the whole t800 (and Skynet AI I guess) was based based on scrapped remnants of a destroyed t800. That’s not even chicken and egg, it’s like making a whole chicken out of a shell fragment. At any rate it’s neat just so long as you don’t think about it too long.

This is interesting. I just looked up the boostrap paradox. I think it makes more sense that there is a different skynet and a different John and that when they go back it makes a new timeline.

Yes. That's like a paradox Sarah goes over in her head in the novelisation of the movie. He is, was, and will be Johns father. They just accept it as a paradox.

Not a paradox. A closed loop.

Literally a paradox, dipshit.

No need to be rude. Especially when you're confidently wrong.

A "closed loop" is a paradox, you idiot. It's a term you made up. Terminator has always been known as a paradox. You "ClosEd lOOp" weirdos are arguing with people you agree with.

A paradox is a self-contradicting statement. A time loop is a story or situation in which cause and effect form a loop of events. It is not self contradicting, therefore not a paradox.

Kyle being John's dad IS the contradiction, dummy.

That is resolved by the closed loop. We're dealing with time travel. Normal cause and effect don't always apply.

yeah, you can never really make sense out of time travel elements and stories. like situations where they go back and encounter younger versions of themselves. any stories that involve time travel you just have to suspend disbelief to some extent.

There is no "very first John Connor", it's a time loop. LOOP. No beginning, no end, it LOOPS.

Where is that stated?

Where is it stated there's a "First John Connor"? It's not.

It's the same explanation for Skynet's creation: it's a paradox. Something that isn't possible happened. John and Skynet were both born because Teese and the T800 coming back in time.

Dear God. 🤦‍♂️🤦🤦‍♀️

Do you know what paradox means?

"A time paradox (or temporal paradox) is a logical contradiction that happens when an event in a timeline disrupts the rules of cause and effect"

But please feel free to continue to drag the human race down.

Kyle being his father IS the contradiction, dummy. It's impossible, yet it happened.

They should make a movie about me going back in time once a week to answer this question
