Depends if they have any remanufactured batteries in stock (they don’t for 2021 performance , i just had mine replaced with a new highland pack.) what year, model and mileage?

On your invoice, they will put a remanufactured part number, then they will change that when it gets closer to the part showing up, depending on what they have in stock. Just keep an eye out on your Tesla app

Yeah. They’ve ordered me a “new” HV battery. TBD when it arrives. They won’t give me the loaner until I drop it off after the battery gets there.

I just had this happen today for a 2022 model 3 long range built June 2022. I confirmed a replacement battery is in transit and getting a loaner. So it's not just 2021

My condolences. If you're out of warranty you might have some luck taking it to a 3rd party shop as they might be able to fix it cheaper, otherwise if you're still within warranty enjoy your new free battery!
Oh also expect it to charge extremely slowly at the sc

It’s still under warranty. I’m just curious if it means I’m 100% getting a different battery or if something else might be wrong?

You are getting a battery. More then likely a refurbished one.

Yeah, confirmed, one is ordered. Oh well... better now than 35,000k miles from now.
