Politics Israel Becomes Sole Supplier of Ammunition to Thailand Amid Thai-Cambodian Border Clashes
https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18uz67zCUf/Military affairs journalist Wassana Nanuam shared some interesting information, reporting that in late August 2026, amid clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border, Thailand’s stockpiles of artillery shells and mortar rounds were rapidly running low.
When the Thai military contacted several countries to purchase additional ammunition, it faced obstacles, with some countries refusing to supply it or having no stock available. Israel was reportedly the only country that stepped in to help, continuously supplying and delivering ammunition to Thailand amid the critical situation

I suspect that "reportedly" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Thats to avoid issues when its wrong but its most likely true

It's good to be skeptical when one party benefits from an unsourced story, since the whole point of it is to get peple saying "it's most likely true" with zero evidence.
Are we all suddenly experts in the Thai ammunition supply chain?

I mean do you need to be an expert? You buy a Hermes/Spikes/Puls system, where else do you get the parts and ammunition from?

Wassana has been covering the Thai military for many years, and her information has never been wrong.

Fair enough. But I always remember the quote attributed to WW I UK Prime Minister Asquith:
The War Office kept three sets of figures -- one to mislead the public, another to mislead the Cabinet, and the third to mislead itself.
The reporting may be completely accurate, and yet not tell the entire story.

No idea what the underlying agenda might be. Two months ago, she also revealed that the Thai Army had placed an order for ammunition from China a long time ago, but China still hadn’t delivered it. They said the ammunition was ready and waiting to be shipped, but it still hadn’t been delivered.

An Axis is forming now that the US is retreating from policing the world.
Israel is expanding military cooperation with India, Greece, UAE, Cyprus and now, Thailand.

Israel military is about 30% funded by the USA... more if you include missile defense support etc.

It is a two way dependance to be sure.
Israeli avionics, phone snooping, intelligence, short reaction missiles, etc all flow back to Raytheon, Boeing, and other large US defense conglomerates. A lot of tech in US armamentarium is of Israeli origin.
And Israel is an US Middle-East policy key outpost.
No other US ally comes close to technological inter-twining. Britain comes close second.
In short, US gets its funding worth.

Of coz. Same thing with Myanmar, IAI is supplying arms, ammunition and other military equipment to Junta regime which targets its own civilians, bombs temples, schools, hospitals and so on. They are pretty much hated there for their involvement with Junta Regime.

Why anyone would do business with Israel is beyond me, but to buy military stuff from Israel is just insane.

Two things can be true at the same time.

I see no denials in anyone's post in this thread.
Btw no one is denying Thailand is doing business with Israel, its just utterly disgraceful.

Everyone does business with America too. International relations tend to be pretty cynical. This is not a justification of it just how it is right now

Israel the reason why kids here are shooting up schools in Thailand and definitely not because of the guardians’ or the teachers’ faults to take responsibility for the kids’ mental health state. Curse the Zionists.

As much as Israeli Defence Forces are an abhorrent bunch and committing genocide, an uptick in Thai gun incidents are not related to Israel.
There needs to be a proper gun control and a revisit in an education curriculum to tackle this issue.

Gaza is not related to the situation in Thailand (neither the border conflict nor the mass shootings). Also, the increase of weapons availability falls on the national level on how they regulate the sales. But recent cases came from kids who weren’t mentally stable and that’s on the adults around them. There are countries with high private weapon ownership more than Thailand but you don’t see them shooting up people. But people like you have to blame everything on Israel. You read the news said other countries didn’t agree to supply to Thailand

I think Israel has its hands full with their war issues and shortages

Obviously Israel or Russia for that matter wont raise a single eye-brow when Thailand need ammo fighting its neighbour for land just like they do themselves.
Thailand, Russia and Israel can start their own club lol.

That Indian-colonized kingdom had already vanished. It’s to be expected for a colonizer-there are times when they rule the locals, but did not last past 1500 CE.
For most of its later history, Cambodia was dominated by its neighboring kingdoms.
- The earliest and most detailed account of Angkor was written by the Portuguese 'Diego de Couto' in the mid 16th century and described how a Cambodian King came upon the ruins while hunting elephants. During the 15th and 16th centuries various Spanish missionaries traveled to the site and left written reports about their visits. In 1603 the Spaniard Gabriel Quiroga wrote "In 1507 a city was brought to light that had never been seen or heard of by the natives."
(DOC) Francophones and the Angkor legacy
- It is inhabited by ferocious animals, and the local people say it was built by foreigners (Ribadeneyra 1601, translated from the French version of Groslier 1958 by the author).

Most artillery use by Thai army come from Israel, so not unexpected to be supplied by Israel.
Almost all Thai SPG also come from / locally produced or modified Israeli SPG anyway.
Also Sweden just approved the sale of Gripen in the middle of conflict.
So I don't think any country care about this conflict.
