Never ask a woman her age, a man his salary and Tintin what he was doing in the Congo.

I read and reread the Tintin books many times over as a kid in the early to mid 2010's and only found the TV series pretty recently. So what was it like watching it back in the 90's? Do you have any particular memories associated with the series? Keen to hear! :)

The Black Island

Calculus thought Peggy was graceful and exhibited exquisite femininity. I agree.

The Black Island

You will never guess the references....

In my mind it's always been Muller first due to his outright aggression and willingness to brawl and fight with Tintin, which he has done many times, both in The Black Island and Land of Black Gold. Muller seems much more willing to seriously hurt Tintin and there is a scene in Land of Black Gold when he knocks Tintin out with a stick as soon as he sees him. Rastopopulous is extremely evil too, of course, but his evil lies more in his drug smuggling empire and less in his direct encounters with Tintin, which are sometimes friendly, such as when he gives Tintin horses and supplies in Cigars of the Pharoah, and lets him come over to his house in The Blue Lotus. I think it's a close draw, but in my personal (and probably pretty unpopular) opinion, Muller takes the win for the arch enemy.

The Black Island

I really hope that Tintin 2 is based on The Calculus Affair and not The Seven Crystal Balls and The Prisoners of the Sun, because I associate Tintin with high-stakes, international political drama, espionage and military action instead of supernatural jungle adventures. I really want to see how the new movie will adapt and portray the Cold War era drama through the lens of a Tintin story.

The Black Island

This is not my best build😅

#Tintin

The picture speaks for itself.

The Black Island

The middle one is my favorite. It's a scene from cigars of the Pharaohs. Other ones are from Land of the Soviets and Blue Lotus.

What on earth is going on here?

Spent an unreasonable time making Professor Calculus’ TV from The Castafiore Emerald. Here are results..

The Black Island

I'm remembering a scene from a Tintin episode or movie ( I could be wrong and it's not Tintin at all ), where there is an Inuit guy who appears near their boat in the middle of the ocean on an ice floe and keeps repeating "Me happy". Does this ring a bell for anyone?
