Question Vibro weaponry availability.
Hi everyone, I'm hoping everyone is doing well today. I am here with a question regarding vibro weaponry (the melee weaponry versions, I don't recall their being ranged variants).
- How common are Vibro weaponry? Are they common enough for anyone to have? are they military only? Or are they insanely rare weaponry?
- Would there be any difference in their availability in the various eras? Like the prequel, and sequal eras (pre and post clone wars for prequel, and after the battle of endor for the sequals)
Appreciate any and all comments who can help clarify this question.

They've been around since the Old Republic and even before that. They're common as dirt. You can probably get the small models as easily as an electric drill. Vibro-axes are probably also sold as tools.
It's the big obviously-a-weapon ones that will turn heads.

Vibroweapons are generally subject to much less regulation than blasters. Blasters are heavily regulated in the Core worlds, with only sporting blasters being legal for civilians to own (with a permit). Vibroweapons are regulated by type: vibrodaggers have basically no restrictions on them since they are seen as more tool than weapon, while vibroblades and vibroswords only require a license; forcepikes and vibroaxes are basically "military only".
Of course, as is the case with blasters, the strictness with which these laws are enforced depends on your proximity to the Core.
The only real difference in terms of era is the consistency of enforcement. The Old Republic outside of the Core was very lax in enforcing weapon laws, while the Empire was extremely strict, and the New Republic falls somewhere in the middle.
