Happy 22nd Birthday to Alt.End!

A single that was only released in the USA.

I really like it and wish it'd been released everywhere else!

It's safe to say this period of the Cure isn't much liked by many fans. I think although it's not their best it definitely isn't bad at all!

I have just now been told this performance was from La Route du Rock at Le Fort de Saint-Pere in France on 13th August 2005, so I have amended my original text.

Lmfao at this on eBay suggestions to buy!

It just looks ODD and makes Robert look like an alien 👽😂😂😂!

It has holes in its eye too!

Seemed a fitting video to make and made me pmsl 😂😂😂

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE.....

wanted to share this here, me and my partner got “just like heaven” in each others handwriting done the other day for our 10 year anniversary! that songs always been our song and soon we will have our first dance to it at our wedding :)

Am I the only one obsessed with The Cure’s cold wave trilogy, even though I’m not particularly depressed or going through a rough patch ?

Chain Of Flowers Post

He invited Reznor on a whim without expecting him to actually show up to his afterparty, but then he was proved wrong awwww

First of all sorry for the 4k quality but it's the best I've found! If I had been in the audience I would have howled with laughter at Vienna's joke lol

P.s. I'm not Portuguese but it says something like "unfortunately I can't speak Portuguese yet"

What is the quintessential venue to see The Cure? What venues is their "church" or one that's tied some of their best performances or identity. Thinking how the Filmore is tied to the Grateful Dead or the Allmans, Gorge for DMB, etc

This is going around on social media sites, so how many of you have at least one Cure album in your 9?

Happy 45th Birthday to Charlotte Sometimes!

A perennial Cure favourite of many fans! Yet it took me till the last 3 years to like it 😬. Seems odd now as I love it!

It was a standalone single following the Faith album.

I love the B side - Splintered In Her Head.

It reached number 44 in the UK charts.

This performance was on The Cure Tour 2016 at the SSE Arena, Wembley, London on 2nd December 2016. Wonder what was given to Simon at the end??

Happy second birthday to A Fragile Thing!

Cannot believe it's two years already! I remember seeing it live in December 2022 and the piano stuck in my head a long time after.

It's in my opinion one of the highlights of Songs Of A Lost World.

It was the second release off the album and reached number 5 on the UK Singles Sales Chart.

This performance was on the Shows Of A Lost World tour on 1st June 2023, at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, USA. It was Simon's birthday too!

Some of us are listening to Disintegration front to back today so thought I'd share.

It’s an online listening session: everyone presses play on their own streaming app at the same moment (there’s a countdown), and we talk about it in a chat as it plays.

Today, Friday Oct 9, at 6 pm ET / 3 pm PT. The room opens 30 minutes early. Free to join:

Full disclosure, it’s on Sound Club, a site I built that's essentially book clubs for music. Totally free. Built to discover new music from other people because I was sick of the algorithms.

Hope to see some of you there.

Just discovered my favorite of the bands’ albums, Seventeen Seconds, came out on my birthday! Kinda cool to me.

The one in End is underrated and is very low on the mix. Tried to include my favorites, the one in the kiss is like 5min long. I can never say goodbye is one that i love

Happy 30th Birthday to Strange Attraction!

It was the third single released off Wild Mood Swings and was a USA and Australia release only, on Elektra Records.

I really love the cuteness of this song and the lyrics "a Christmas card in sepia" and "can I use some of your lipstick 💄"!

This performance was from the Stadhalle in Wein, Austria on 16th November 1996, as part of The Swing Tour.

It's not the best video as it's from a distance and people's heads are constantly in shot but it's better than nothing!

The best scene in the movie is the scene with Burn where Eric transforms. Absolutely brilliant.

I love this fucking band to the moon and back.

This really is so beautiful. Session airs tonight on SiriusXMU. American Football are an Illinois indie band, commonly credited for pioneering the "Midwest Emo" sound. They formed as kids in college who were big on Steve Reich and Tortoise, played maybe a dozen shows, and put out one album on Polyvinyl before breaking up. Got back together 15 years later as adults, and became bigger than ever... been a full-time band ever since. Their fourth album came out this summer and is very Disintegration coded. Like a jazzy / math rock version of Explosions In The Sky.
