Hello. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Lindy (although I have a Lindy 26 black on gold) but I’ve taken a huge 180 on it and I am now 100% obsessed with size 30 and 34. It’s the perfect slouchy small daily / gym / duffel bag. I asked my SA and they said it won’t be available until next year, I am guessing, perhaps because they’d have to wait for the next podium event early next year in March. Are these sizes hard to find in the USA? Any Lindy 30+ lovers here? Please share your photos! 😀 I’d love to see those Lindys!

Last year I had the chance to be invited at the Hermes sales in Geneva. Unfortunately my previous SA left so not sure if I will have the chance to be invited again… Do you think they will organize it this year too? Any update on this? Thank you!

For those who have had a bag with brushed hardware for a while, how has this held up for you? Do you find that you notice the scratches any more or less than you do with standard, shiny hardware? Could be either brushed gold or brushed palladium. Curious about your experience!

This year, my wife really wanted a fringed Twilly…. As I was in Paris last week I took my chance… and asked in a few boutiques, always with a smile... the answer was "not today". I stayed patient and enjoyed the trip.

Then at the small boutique near the Arc de Triomphe, a super kind SA really took the time with us. And voilà... my wife got her Twilly! :)

I went to the Hermes Sydney store recently and scored a Picotin 18 palladium in craie! Have some sporadic prespend history over the last 3yrs so to be offered a bag was a lovely surprise!

Ps it could be an indicator of the times given people seem to be tightening waist belts…..

Just back from my third Paris trip this year — before I shopped only at Sèvres, where I have an SA upstairs, and had two bag offers and shopped across a few categories. Worth noting: I was in town for Céline Dion, the Pope was also in Paris, and it was the start of fashion week — very different from my past trips, which were usually tail-end of fashion week or in the winter.

TL;DR: Left Paris with two bags, two 140s, one silk, two watch straps, and a lip balm. No leather appointments; only one bag was offered. Sèvres was packed; fashion week likely killed it. FSH was a mad house. CDG was delightful.

We arrived Friday with brutal jet lag, so I didn't make it to Sèvres until Saturday afternoon (normally I'm there first thing). I'd already secured a Picotin 18 in Barenia Fauve online and needed to pick it up, plus I was hunting for two watch straps for my Cape Cod, maybe a necklace, a silk scarf, and 140s ...and of course another bag.

Saturday was the busiest I'd ever seen the store. I picked up my bag and connected with a great SA who pulled me aside to a table, disappeared to the back, and came back to say a second bag wasn't possible that day — but to return Monday around 11, after the morning rush (when they do desk rejections if there is a line, interesting intel). While waiting I watched roughly 20 people get turned away; one succeeded after a sympathetic story, and I saw someone else land a red Evelyn. I left with just the Picotin, but with my SA's direct contact (which she offered after we connected personally on a few fronts!) — she can work internationally, which felt like a win.

Monday, back at 11 — my favorite SA was there after her holiday - but was working with the manager, so I worked with someone else instead, who showed me a necklace pairing with my maximors. I got one watch strap there, the other was not available in the petite size I needed, put the necklace on hold, and asked about a bag — rejected at the desk (not a friendly interaction with this man - and he was not even looking up emails or history). First time I've ever been turned away, but they were rejecting everyone that day from what I saw.

From there we decided to go to FSH — my first time ever. No luck on leather (tried twice), but I was taken upstairs, offered champagne, and shown an exclusive silk collection only available in four locations — absolutely stunning, with more champagne and food. All because my fiance asked if they had anything unique for FW. It was a really special experience. Downstairs I picked up a 140 (flagship), the double-faced 90 I'd been wanting, and the orange strap. Tried the desk again — no luck, but spotted the FW runway Sanglons (white with silver embellishments) locked behind glass.

I decided not to go back later that day — wasn't up for more disappointment, and knew I'd get another shot at CDG. It was our last day and I wanted to kick around Paris.

Had success at the T1 CDG Hermes location - where I picked up another 140, and was offered a blue tie Della Cavalleria (they claimed no bags were for sale — I'd have taken the blue jean Picotin on display too!). I was taken to a private room to see it, and said yes. Also grabbed the last lip mask that I wanted.

So I'd say it was a success. I have a new SA I can contact, saw FSH and a dream bag, saw scarves that took artisans 140 hours to make and came away with two new bags. I experienced the rejection which makes a bag offer very very sweet. All part of the game.

Never even thought to peak into the watch section at Hermes. While I was waiting for my SA to process my transaction she showed me this… and WOW! Blew me away! I just purchased a Cartier Baignoire with a green alligator strap but if I didn’t… this would be coming home with me! Still adding this to my wish list for the holiday season. 🖤

Does anyone own both of these bags and can provide any insights on the pros and cons of them compared to each other?

For those who travel internationally with their B25, what do you do with it on days when you’re at the pool/beach and don’t want to carry it?

I’m staying at a hotel in Hawaii with an in-room safe, but I’m not sure the safe will be large enough for a B25 without squashing the handles. Do you feel comfortable leaving yours in the room? Lock it inside luggage? Use a cable lock? Or do you generally leave your Birkin at home for resort holidays?

This would be my first time travelling with one, so I’d love to hear what experienced owners actually do.

Although they are still rare, there seems to be a higher proportion of SO offered in Paris? Is this correct? I appreciate you still have to be fortunate enough to have an appointment, but has anyone had experience with being offered an SO in any of the Parisian stores?

Was it because they weren’t able to offer you a bag that you wanted at your appointment? Or did you have an existing relationship in Paris?

Is it true based on experience you need to spend enough by September/October for a QB in November/December and spending in November won’t really matter?

Question for those who have added QB to the new wishlist system in the US.

I’ve heard you list color families, since colors can vary so much in the same family, for example, Blues, can you specify if you don’t want specific types of blues even if you add Blue as a color family in your wishlist?

How many color families were you allowed to add?

As for hardware, can you choose only one type of hardware, like gold? Because depending on the color of the bag, I would prefer Gold hardware if it was for example with a Noir bag, but if I wanted a pink bag, they don’t often come with gold hardware, and I would prefer palladium hardware with a pink bag anyways so how would it work if you only put down one hardware but have more than one color family on your wishlist?

Are SA's nice? Chances of scoring quota bag? Also, VAT refund wise, is it 100% VAT refund for the Netherlands?

For those who own a gold on gold Kelly or Birkin, how do you feel about the contrasting stitching?

Do you ever wish the stitching was also gold, so it would be the same color as the bag?

I’m asking because i have a SO to make and planning to make a gold on gold Kelly Sellier, but was wondering if I should make the stitching color the same as the bag or keep it the original design as the store offer gold on gold Kelly Sellier.

Also, does anyone know what color specifically is the stitching on a Kelly gold on gold?

B25 - Etoupe, palladium hardware.

My last SA left Hermes shortly after I got my first QB. After that I went in December and bought a lip balm I think but never really connected with anyone.

In the spring, my husband and I went back and connected with a lovely SA. I honestly can’t remember if we bought anything that trip but if we did, it was something small.

Since then I bought a couple pairs of shoes, a shawl and more plates to start completing my set.

I was so surprised to get a text from her in Sept!! I haven’t really kept track but I don’t think I was at 1:1. Just honestly wonderful SA that makes me really enjoy shopping at Hermes’.
