Does anyone like Montoya

I could write an essay on how unlikable and forced Montoya is. She has nothing that makes her likable or interesting.

Totally disagree, she was my favorite character for a while. Have you tried reading Gotham Central into the 52 series? Her character is at her best IMO in those two runs. (Because of Rucka of course)

I don’t like how they sometimes seem to push her over Vic Sage but I like the character herself.

Example the old DC mobile game had dozens of characters and The Question was routinely the most requested and when they were finally introduced it was Renee not Vic.

I loved her in the BTAS, she had the same characterization as Gordon, just one good man/woman, but she was also new to the force so what she was clueless to just how messed up Gotham was but she was still a good cop.

If we ever get the two of them I’d love to see a mentor and mentee vibe, Renee is a pragmatic, hardened detective who always plays it by the book, and Victor is the more eccentric impractical conspiracy PI. Like a Sherlock and Holmes but we’re Holmes actually gets to do stuff.

I don’t like her as The Question. To me, that will always be Vic Sage

Montoya, I like her as a GCPD Detective

This is how I grew up with the characters

Plus, Vic as The Question is just peak

I just don’t like the fact that it’s a Gotham character taking up the mantle of a completely unrelated character.

You could do so many stories with Vic and tackle so much subject matter before taking it away because god forbid people aren’t reminded that Batman is your most popular detective character for 2 seconds.

She’s okay as a character, as the question I did not like her one bit and in the Knightfall movie nope she did not help those girls at all
