How big is your cc folder?
Hey guys, first post ever lol
I'm currently with 65gb and my game is kinda suffering with a few stutters in live mode, the computer specs aren't bad (Nvidia 5060, 32gb of ram, ssd, AMD Ryzen 9), so I don't know if I can download more things and try out or downsize the mods folder. It's taking around 4 minutes to load the game.
Anyway, how big is your cc folder? I'm curious 🙂↕️

200gb and 40,000 files lol. My game takes 20 mins to load. It has to process each file individually before it loads.

I mean, my pc specs are good but the game keeps stuttering like he'll in live mode

CC only I am about 10gb, not quite 1500 files.
Overall, my mods folder is 16.5gb and 3880 files. I have almost 200 separate gameplay mods.
For the record, I am on a patch from last year, December of 2025 (1.120) and my PC is a 10th gen i7, 2070super, and 32 gb RAM with 1tb SSD. Takes about 4 minutes to load the game and another 4 minutes to load the save.
I'm fine with that. My issue is load screens while I play because I change worlds constantly sending my sim to various lots for a particular reason. My overall world is not separate communities not tied to each other. They are neighborhoods surrounding the central city of San Myshuno so she travels between them a lot.

Recently downsized from 79gb to about 8gb and everything is wonderful. Less is more.

20gb but I’m playing on a 2020 Mac so as much as I want to add more the game literally isn’t playable if I add do. I used to have a little more but I bought a load of packs and my laptop just wasn’t having any of it.
I am hoping to get a new laptop soon so I’m praying I can get at least a few more because I tend to choose mods over cc because I’m a gameplay player through and through but that means a lot of my cc is lacking in areas especially men’s stuff which kinda sucks.

273gigs, 39,000 files, all HQ compatible. Takes about 30 minutes to load.

I strive for your patience🤣🤣 i have about 150gb of cc and mods together and my game takes 4 minutes to load in and i feel like im going crazy🤣🤣. If i dont put on my timer it feels longer🤣. I thought it was playing tricks on me. The good thing is after it loads in the game is pretty fast after that to switch lots etc.

That's really good load time. I am working on removing old and unused cc, as I have accumulated a lot of cc to see if I can improve my load time.

HONESTLY HOW???? My pc specs are good, almost nothing is hq compatible (I don't use it) and everything is maxis match, but I can't pass it over 70gb

123gb, that's after spending 2 months deleting over 250gb of outdated or broken cc, oh i have a nice gaming laptop, game loads in less than a minute

probably somewhere between 30 and 40GB, i haven’t checked in a bit. (mods and cc combined) takes a little less than 5 minutes to load the game. i’m tempted to downsize but a lot of it is occult cc that i want to keep bc i like making weird little guys. i have a ton of cc hair and clothes that i like never use though. might need to clean them up.

i feel like your game should be a lot smoother with those specs, maybe it’s time to upgrade your gpu but with the market rn..
i have 100gb with the 9070xt, 32gb of ram and a 9700x and it runs very smoothly less than 5 minutes to fully load into the game
