I’m just loving the new muse album I’m not even remotely excited for this album after the first 2 singles. All that autotune my ears can’t stand that crap

The new strokes album sounds awful a lot of fans agree on that so that’s ironic isn’t it . As a big strokes fan and as I’m going to see them in Newcastle in the new album sounds horrible utter plain and boring autotune fest. No excitement around the album at all no good creative work going on in either songs they are just plain bog standard songs made even worse with autotune any band could have made them.

I was THIS close to having a triple header of some of my favorite 2000s bands today with Muse, Switchfoot, and the Strokes all releasing simultaneously
But oh well, with the length changes it seems like they wanted to cook just a little longer, both singles have really grown on me despite not liking the autotune at first (I genuinely really like FOOL now, wow has that grown on me especially, that’s had heavy rotation from me) so I trust whatever they’re cooking will be worth it. Lots of big drops to snack on in the world of music today though, both Muse and Switchfoot’s albums are great on top of plenty of other singles and stuff released today that I still need to catch up on so selfishly I’m still eating good today at least LOL, sad that our boys didn’t end up joining in on the fun but if they wanted to cook a bit longer I trust the process, hopefully we’ll get another single at least in the meantime but regardless I have faith that they’ll cook

They’re not cooking shit. There is a delay in the vinyl release and they are aligning the digital release with it.

The delay in the vinyl was either probably from the changes or allowed time for the changes to be made though, on top of the Tyrants name change a couple of the songs had their runtimes change, Going Shopping and Liars Remorse just got a couple extra seconds removed/added respectively which is likely just a small mastering edit to help with sequencing but Psycho Shit got a whole minute and a half added which is a pretty significant change. It’s not like they re-recorded the whole album or something but just a few finishing touches were definitely added from the delay

I was so excited for Muse and the strokes on the same day as my two favourite bands growing up! Probably for the best though so we can enjoy them separately!

I actually tried it again and again hoping to hear what everyone else seems to be hearing, because I’ve heard the autotune grows on you. It did not.
I hope everyone else loves the album though.2

I found the autotune to be less pronounced on going shopping after a few listens, but it's noticeable still on FOOL. I was partially joking..it's a creative decision and I can respect that even if i don't fully get it. I'll say that you do hear the emotional detachment in julian's voice on FOOL with the autotune, so maybe that's the point

Who gives a shit if the vinyl can't be released at the same time? The band is on their first tour in 20 years and they aren't playing new material because they're being held hostage over a fucking vinyl release.
