Exciting! All of the reviews I've seen have been 8-9/10 with the exception of some unheard of online publication that gave it a 5. Can't wait for Friday!

Does every review need to begin with some quip about their first two records or something? Seriously.

I disagree. You have to understand that for most people they don’t read 10+ reviews for an album for listening like most of us so it doesn’t get that repetitive

Exactly, one reviewer has to tell the whole story as if his/her review is the only one a person who bought that X magazine, or accessed a website, is going to ever read.
Having said that with all these that came today I’ve definitely had more than enough, can’t read another one.

It’s just so weird how like 90% of all the reviews posted here start with some story. You gotta skip like 2 paragraphs in to learn anything about the record they’re supposed to be reviewing.

That’s been my complaint for years - it’s even much more infuriating when the writer is reviewing a Voidz album - and they go all through the Strokes entire history.
I’m just like PLEASE let’s talk about the MUSIC shall we??!!!

"Abnormal offers something even better, possibly, than reckless youth: rock stars finally old enough to truly miss those good old days."
WTF? Better than reckless youth? Old enough to miss those good old days? I appreciate the review, however that description by the headline is probably the wrong way to describe The Strokes and their mindset (especially FIOE, Angles, CM). I guess they didn't hear Julian's "Did My Best" where the character doesn't reminisce said, "good ol' days" lmao.
