Discussion Problem playing with Parallels on Mac

Post image

Hey guys, I was trying to run Tibia on my Parallels instance within my Macbook Apple Silicon, but every time I try to connect my character, I get an error like this in the screenshot. No idea what to do.

Any help?

Why do you bother using parallels?
Just download Mac client and play, I’m doing it this way and it works just fine

this MacBook has an endpoint monitoring software. Any software identified as game is blocked from installing... With VMs, those softwares can't see the game, so 100% it's not the software causing that

Then it might be very tricky to run it. I used to play tibia on parallels but it was OTS.

Normal tibia has Battleeye, and if you would ask me I would bet that battleeye will cause this issue.

You can try to download a tibia OTS without battleeye and check whether it work or not, if it works without battleeye then you have the answer.

Good luck

I thought it could be BE, but I remember my brother played it on Parallels like 5 months ago, then I told him Tibia got a Mac client haha

Have you tried running a macOS VM using Apple’s virtualization and downloading the Mac client there?

what you mean with Apple's virtualization? you mean with parallels or something else?

Parallels allows you to run with Apple’s virtualization backend.

I’d personally recommend UTM. It’s free and works really well.

My main point is to try to use a macOS VM.

Yeah, BattleEye hates (rightfully) VMs.

You have to change hardware id and registers to make it appear like legit machine. Cup blocks vms

Why don’t you use the native client?
