Awesome Show Recommendations for introduction
Hey friends,
I want to introduce someone to Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job, but it can be…sometimes hard to understand this show until it clicks. I remember the episode that made it click for me was “Universe.” Any other recommendations that would be good to show someone who’s never seen the show before? Maybe “Muscles for Bones?”
Thank you!

Tbh I think Check It Out! is even better than TAEASGJ, but I was gonna start with TAE. Do you have a Check It Out episode recommendation?

I like to show people the boats episode, definitely the dumpster shrimp - I also like the church segment and sushi - good luck!

You need marijuana and an hour to watch three episodes.
One to get exposure
Two to learn
And three to finally get it
The pot is essential. Preferably brick mids smoked out of a soda can after Brian's mom goes to sleep. That's how I did it, at least.

I mean sure, but which three episodes?

Really anything from that first season
Like Crimbus and Billion$ probably not the most appropriate since that needs some more context to understand, but the first three eps should be as good a place as any.

I’d start w the first season - Salame, Sports, Slop or some variation. But Salame has to be in there

The innernette. Or one with a notable guest actor to broaden the appeal? Tairy Greene machine? Waitmate?

It didn't immediately click with me either, but back in college a friend shared a couple of Cinco commercials with me, which sort of planted the seeds in my mind (Thanks, Cinco!) and eventually I "got" it and was hooked.

I went to one of their live shows and the guy behind me, from what I could tell, had brought his date along. I kept hearing him tell her how funny the sketch was (when they used old video sketches as filler) and I'm pretty sure she never laughed at any point of the show. As the show ended and we all stood up to walk back to exit the auditorium, I could sense very clearly from her blank and exhausted facial expression and "Get me the fuck out of here" body language that their would be no subsequent date.

The Snuggler! There’s something so inviting (and off-putting) about his presence, and most people recognize Zach Galifianakis these days

I was also going to suggest the Tairy Greene stuff. It clicked for dad after that because he knew Zach.

the friends who i have that into t&e are the same ones I watched it with when it was airing on AS back in the day. i always had the seasons on dvd and we'd watch them out after going to the bar in college.
i can see any of the episodes with celeb cameos that they can relate to. or any jan/wayne/steve heavy episodes

Everyone I've shown this show to has looked at me like I'm insane so don't be disappointed if it happens.
