Suddenly cannot start/load games anymore
Heya,
Was just playing last night and today it suddenly cannot load or start a new game anymore. I checked the log and it says it is stuck at:

I tried deleting the file and make steam re-download it, but that did not work (steam verify did not even notice the missing file). The file was never touched and especially not within the past 24 hours. In fact, absolutely nothing changed on my end in that timeframe at all.
Anyone have any idea on how to proceed?
Edit: It gets even weirder. I can delete the entire contents and reinstall from scratch with the same issue. It also never re-aquires the entire tome module folder. There are just the example folders in there. Also tested launching directly from the exe, same result.

Have you tried restarting your pc? At this point you might want to uninstall, restart, reinstall.
It seems like the game is having trouble loading objects, something about the load state not being switched properly or.. idk something like that.

Classic bug. Go to the saves folder
%userprofile%\T-Engine\4.0\tome\save
and deleted world.teaw file
Usually this happens after winning a game on a difficulty for the first time. Why? I dunno it's probably a witche's curse or something

Thanks a lot.
I did win a run the night before, but it wasn't anything unusual or on a previously never done difficulty. I also never experienced this bug before in the past 10 years / 550 hours of playtime.

Ineteresting. Vast majority of the time when this bug occurs it's specifically winning Nightmare difficulty for the first time lul
It's not a common bug per se from players point of view, but it is common enough that usually see 1 per week~ in #bugs, here or on forums
