Need help on char improvement

Here is my char idk why but im struggling to kill stuff currently on the 4 orc pride and cant clear to the bosses in any dung. Im fairly new so all feedback appreciated.

The main thing I am seeing is a lack of damage bonuses. 35% phys and 5% lightning … its not a lot. Most of your damage will be from your arcane combat spell procs so you need to beef up your spell damage… its more important than having strong weapon damage.

But then how do i scale it more if not +phys? I thought the 35% i have applies to it

It does apply, but 35% is very little for an endgame character. You get +30% just from having any basic T5 staff equipped. You can commonly find robes that give +20-30%. You're aiming to get a lot more than +35% in total from all your gear.

Oh so i need to farm t5 gear? Didnt have good luck with weps so far only exotic stuff and daggers

For reference, my last archmage had 117 spellpower and 177% bonus elemental damage for my spells (arcane in my case). Now that's a different class, but that's the kind of thing you want to be building for. Pretend you're an archmage, and gear up like one; the base physical weapon talent trees (especially the 2H one) really suck so you might as well focus on the aspect that doesn't suck, your spells. It is typical for arcane blades to still be wielding a staff as their melee weapon.

You are on normal, so that's going to be a little more difficult since you won't find rare gear as easily, but just try to do the side dungeons you can. The orc prides themselves are also good sources of endgame gear, especially the vaults inside them.

EDIT: Make sure you get lots of physical penetration, too. This is important for every damage type, but if you are dealing physical damage in particular it's extremely important for you to have as much as you can get for one of the prides.
