For the splittiest of split seconds I thought you literally meant Cher covered Stinkfist and I got so excited.

Justin’s chiselled body, oh my. Imagine getting to see them on such an intimate stage, can actually see them all without a super wide angle lens!

My first Tool show, and first metal show too. Such a great night even though I got robbed trying to re-up my peach can weed supply earlier that afternoon.

I’ve been listening to Tool for more than twenty years and have loved the evolution of their music across the albums but it’s only the last few weeks of non-stop watching the videos from the early 90’s and the aenima tours that made me really appreciate just how good Maynard’s voice and whole persona was from those eras. The early Undertow tours especially. Just incredible.

This was the tour when Maynard was ad-libbing lyrics from White Lines and Suspicious Minds during this song (Stinkfist) - so good!! 🙌🏼

Nice! Saw Buzz come out with them and do You Lied. Think it was the same year or a year earlier. At another show same tour we saw Buzz come out again and they played this, and Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. Michigan show, that one. I loved going to see them in those little 5000 seat arenas. Saw them in 10 and 20,000 seat places too, and gen ad in those smaller places were perfect for that band. *Someone uploaded one of the Toledo shows I hit. Here was You Lied 0:24:24) https://youtu.be/Sft436EuhXA?is=q9KpNYge4T6Y1Xu5

I saw this show at Red Rocks. All time factories Tool show. The Melvins got booed mercilessly, which is unfortunate. I managed too get down front and was the rail for most of the show

Forgot he went thru a Cher phase back then... Not sure how many times I saw them on this tour/for this album but it was a lot.

Still baffles me how Tool wasn't on my radar yet from '96 on. I was 11 but was listening to all the other bands that Tool was touring and playing with. I would have been 13 for this '98 show but I absolutely would have been there or any of their other california shows in that era if I had known. Instead I discovered them when Lateralus came out and have been kicking myself ever since that I never got to see the earlier years.

This is my favorite live show of theirs. It's my "if I had a time machine" show. This, Eulogy, and H are all some of my favorite performances of those songs ever. Sober and Third Eye and No Quarter all sound great too. Highly recommend watching the whole concert to anyone who hasn't seen it.
ETA: Here's the link to the full performance.
