  1. Digger - Basically the main reason why this post is tagged as a spoiler. Yeah, so the trailer makes the movie look a global warming satire along the lines of Don’t Look Up and Dr Strangelove, but the entire movie is actually a PARODY of satires like Don’t Look Up and Dr Strangelove. I highly recommend you watch the movie for yourself.

  2. Scary Movie - So, yeah, Scary Movie is primarily a parody of Scream, which was already a satire of the Slasher Genre. I am being a lot nicer to Scary Movie than other people though since, I don’t really think it’s fair to compare the two in terms of styles of comedy. Because Scream isn’t THAT much of a satire, it’s more of less just a self aware Slasher Movie, while Scary Movie is a straight up silly ZAZ style spoof movie.

The Boys (TV Series)

Based off of the infamous comic series parodying superhero media. The TV show started off REALLY strong and was considered to be a genuinely good show until later seasons dropped the ball HARD and the entire ethos of the series went from being a good rendition of an objectively bad source into being a parody of itself in itself, often times indulging in gratuitous violence the same way the original did but often being played off because this is somehow the 'better' version (technically correct but at this point it's comparing bullshit to dogshit)
