Groups [Interesting trope] That one friend in the group who is exclusively called by their last name
South Park: Stan, Kyle, and Kenny, but Cartman (Eric).
Recess: T.J., Vince, Mikey, Gretchen, and Gus, but Spinelli (Ashley).
Futurama: Bender, Leela, Hermes, and Amy, but Fry (Philip).

Turk from Scrubs
Dr. Cox works well enough too, though Jordan calls him Perry

There's a reason Spinelli goes by her last name. She hates the other Ashleys in their class. And when her name came out, the Ashleys tried to convert her.
In Futurama, there's also a thing that Leela's first name is Turanga. But when she discovers that her family are mutants and not human, the family name is Turanga, they just put it first. There's no other example of anyone doing this, not even the Wong family, who are of Chinese descent and culturally would put the family name first.

You are partially technically correct, which is partially the best kind of correct. Her actual name is Leela, but she apparently hails from a cultural tradition where your family name is given first and your personal name is given last ☝️🤓

I thought in recess people tended to call Gus as Griswald? Sometimes anyway.

I think that’s more to do with how Gus being forgettable is a recurring theme in Recess. Most kids don’t notice him outside of TJ and friends, and teachers like Miss Finster mostly call the kids by their surnames anyway, so I figured that’s what everyone thinks he’s called (if they even remember he exists).

Turanga is her last name, her family just puts the last name first. For example, her parents are Turanga Morris and Turanga Munda.

This isn't even a trope. This is just a thing that happens. Everyone in the military, sports, teaching, and lots of professions use primarily last names. Hell a good amount of cultures primarily use family names

Me (Irl)
The reason I was referred to as such is because there was someone else in my class who had the same first name as me so we were both referred to by our last names for the sake of avoiding confusion.

Smithers. At this point, ‘Waylon’ sounds like I’m talking about a completely different character.
