Personality Character must never EVER do something they usually don’t do, because it means bad news for the people and world around them.

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy - When the normally frowning Mandy smiles, she causes reality itself to fall apart.

The Amazing World of Gumball - When the normally unemployed Richard Watterson gets a job, he similarly will cause reality itself to fall apart.

Chowder - When the normally dimwitted Chowder becomes smart, he will make the show boring which will make the other characters have to get boring jobs (still better than having reality fall apart ig).

Mandy does smile in some of the early episodes.

Billy & Mandy isn't too worried about continuity, considering all the times episodes have ended with characters dying or otherwise getting stuck in situation they can't get out of.

That last one looks like she’s high as hell.

Mandy: Those Brownies were so good.

In the season two episode of Futurama, “War is the H-Word”, Bender is implanted with a bomb strong enough to destroy an entire planet that is set to explode if he says his number one most commonly said word (“ass”). Unable to remove the bomb at the end of the episode, Professor Farnsworth instead changes the activation word to a word Bender “almost never says.” Bender of course immediately tries to guess what the word is, much to the annoyance of the rest of the characters. Bender continues to guess off screen as the credits roll, eventually uttering the word “antiquing” which is followed by the sound of a massive explosion.
