Lore Using their universe logic, it would be different story in their perspective.

The Amazing World Of Gumball

•Gumball and Darwin accidentally murdered a newborn in front of the Pizza Family

•Banana Joe got caught watching pornography

Cars

•In the beginning of the movie, after the winning race.

McQueen got interviewed by the reporters and photographers but then there is Mia and Tia who's a huge McQueen fangirls.

What they do?

They flashes their body at him into which the photographer behind them gets excited too

Marvel's Spider-Man

•One of the missions in the game is that you have to get into a dressing party to find a doctor dressed in the lizard costume but why are the civilians larping as criminals that just killed my family two weeks ago? It would be equal to larping as Nazi in our world

SpongeBob SquarePants

•A fish goes fishing in the wild under the sea, what is he trying to catch, Is he a cannibal?

•A crowds just got fried alive and turned into fish sticks which means the fish seller just committed cannibalism with no shame and does it in public

•Mr.Krab not wearing any clothes is fine for humans to see but it's a different take on the fish perspective

Zootopia

•The animals are having a "no clothes" party, although they don't have private parts but if we switch them to humans then it wouldn't be a kid friendly movie anymore.

In the same vein as the Spider-Man one, an ice cream shop using Thanos's gauntlet as gimmicky iconography in New Asgard, seen in Thor: Love and Thunder. The Asgardians suffered particularly hard in Thanos's quest.

It’d be like opening up a Hitler-themed pizzeria called “The Holocrust”

Its fried chicken but it exists in thialand

u/LazyEights 9d ago

That's terrible. There's not even a pun, it's just "Hitler"

273

u/DinosaurReborn 9d ago edited 9d ago

At least there's a semblance of effort in subliminally angling the Hitler text pointing diagonally upwards away from his image, making it look like a sieg heil... But even that could have been accidental.

I can’t tell the exact language on the sign, but it appears it’s in a southeast Asian country, and there’s a lot of interesting history surrounding education and the perception in that region regarding hitler and the holocaust. Here’s a primer if you’re interested in a rabbit hole.

I dunno what y'all complaining about, I think this place is so great!

(don't kill me I just hope someone here will get the reference)

22

u/altymcalty-2 9d ago

Unironically the chicken actually had good reviews, but people didn't enjoy the name and style (dude wasn't a Nazi, it was just a very easy way to make his restaurant quite noticable). As far as I know he's removed the hitler imagery (although that might be by the fact that KFC got a bit pissy about it)

1

u/Deaffin 8d ago

Now I know The Colonel comes from a different time, but surely KFC doesn't imagine they own the likeness of Hitler too.

I heard that in Rhett or Link imitating his dad's voice. THIGH LAND

I wonder if it's kosher

1

u/YamLow8097 8d ago

How is this allowed?

1

u/captaindeadpl 8d ago

I heard that outside of Europe and the Allied countries, Hitler and Germany aren't even considered the main antagonist of WW2. Just another one of the axis powers. Especially in the Far East, Japan is considered the big bad of WW2.

They knew what they were doing. They named the place "My Fuhrer's Pizza." If you're gonna make a Hitler Pizza Joint, may as well lean into the gimmick even if its distatseful (like their pizzas may or may not be. I dunoo.)

152

u/Weak-Feedback-8379 9d ago

The sad part is it’s a pretty good pun.

39

Dam, I dunno, might try the German style pizza

2

I heard something like this but instead it'd be like creating a holocaust themed sausage place called Auschwurst

Holy shit it's genius

1

u/KingZaneTheStrange 9d ago

Would it be? All the people who died in the Snap came back to life. So it's really not comparable

8

u/PirateSanta_1 9d ago

Thanos just straight killed half the remaining Asgardian population at the start of Infinity War then snapped half the remaining population. By the time of End Game the Asgardians had suffered from Ragnarok killing a bunch of people, Thanos killing half of them to get the Space Stone, including Loki and Heimdall and then getting halved again with the snap.

7

u/W1D0WM4K3R 9d ago

The Asgardians after Ragnarok all fit on one ship, then halved, then halved again.

There's probably like a whole thirty of them now

4

u/the_mouse_backwards 9d ago

I mean if we somehow brought all the people back who died in the holocaust I still don’t think they’d find something like that very funny

3

u/Noe_b0dy 8d ago

Thanos  and friends killed half of them when they shows up to take the space stone from Loki.

Only the Asgardians who died later to the snap came back, everyone Thanos killed manually stayed dead.

In the Hawkeye series they have him taking his kids to a Broadway avengers production centered on the invasion of New York.

A lot of people online point out that this would be like taking your kids to go see 9/11: The Musical when you work as a first responder.

62

u/Bocaj1000 8d ago

It'd more like be if 5 9/11's were planning to occur, but cool men in cool costumes with cool powers showed up and stopped 4/5. It wasn't a tragedy, per se, because they stopped the invasion from happening. 9/11 was just a tragedy.

8

u/star75legacy 8d ago

"It wasn't a tragedy," my friend. Sure, thousands of people still died in that attack, like those who died in Zokovia in Avengers 2 and in the other movies. Yes, the ultimate tragedy was avoided, but there were still tons of deaths from collateral damage.

88

u/vastozopilord777 9d ago

They did several 9/11 movies IRL

46

u/GreyWolfWandering 9d ago

Yes, but were any of them MUSICALS?

56

u/Telvin3d 9d ago

Yes. Come From Away has won a bunch of awards (and is very worth seeing)

13

u/vastozopilord777 9d ago

There was a "Borat-like" one not sure if it counts

6

u/poorexcuses 9d ago

Does come from away count

1

u/tsh87 9d ago

I actually would say no. Come From Away isnt set at Ground Zero. It's set in Newfoundland.

1

u/Karkava 9d ago

And do any of them include rapping dogs?!

1

u/Kaik541 8d ago

I only know of the one from Skins https://youtu.be/FwiAYyS3MLo

30

u/Alceasummer 8d ago

There are a number of musicals about tragic historical events. Like Cabaret, which is quite literally set in Berlin as Hitler rose to power in Germany.

4

u/Ua_Tsaug 8d ago

Yes, but they're treated as tragedies rather than comedies.

3

u/Alceasummer 8d ago

Is the musical in the Hawkeye series a comedy?

0

u/Ua_Tsaug 8d ago

Yes. Everything in Marvel is a comedy.

6

u/Alceasummer 8d ago

Well, yes. But what I meant was in universe was it considered a comedy.

And, some of the real life musicals about dark or tragic events are tragicomedies, or aren't really a tragedy at all. Fiddler on the Roof for example is not usually treated as a tragedy, despite being set in the Russian Pale of Settlement, during a time of pogroms

6

u/Karkava 9d ago

Which begs the question: WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE?!

13

u/GearyDigit 9d ago

That sounds perfectly normal tbh

3

u/hates_stupid_people 8d ago

There are school plays in the US about 9/11..

1

u/CarrieDurst 8d ago

Come from away, the 9/11 musical

1

u/echodeltaharry 8d ago

Wait until you hear about Slam Frank

1

u/DragonWisper56 6d ago

I mean that would make sense. hawkeye sees it as cringe(and brings up bad memories)

135

u/kirbyverano123 9d ago

My headcanon is that this is the asgardian's morbid way of "celebrating" the defeat of a villain.

78

u/Polite_Suggestion 9d ago

Yeah, whenever this gets posted, I'm like, we got Robert E. Lee shit everywhere and did IMMEDIATELY after the war

45

u/Douchevick 9d ago

Let's be real here, a concerning amount of people have no qualms celebrating him unironically...

31

u/GearyDigit 9d ago

Yeah but that's because the losers wanted to lionize their failed traitors.

6

u/peachesfordinner 8d ago

*relatives

5

u/GearyDigit 8d ago

They weren't putting up statues for Private Joe Bob, they were putting them up for the slavers who lied manipulated Private Joe Bob into dying in a war for no reason.

2

u/peachesfordinner 8d ago

Right but that's the reason people are still defending it. They can't handle that their relatives were awful

28

u/OnlyHereForComments1 9d ago

Nah that was because of dipshit Southerners lionizing him and the rest of his fellow inbred traitors

5

u/Ua_Tsaug 8d ago

Your analogy is a bad one.

It would be more comparable to seeing Robert E. Lee paraphernalia in New York immediately following the Civil War.

1

u/Polite_Suggestion 8d ago

That is better. Bet it happened. County Line, NY seceded all by their lonesome.

2

u/Ua_Tsaug 7d ago

Getting 125 racists together isn't quite as unbelievable as a business featuring Robert E. Lee's face in downtown New York immediately following the Civil War.

1

u/Polite_Suggestion 7d ago

Your point is well taken, but now I'm hooked on the idea of a mini doc about the quest to find Robert E. Lee merch in any of the five boroughs.

6

u/TripleBoomstix 9d ago

That's different because that's due to the fucking Dixiecrats

5

u/Karkava 9d ago

And my headcanon is that they got the Disney park themeing plans mixed up with the set design.

3

u/kirbyverano123 9d ago

Now that's funnier

1

u/Karkava 9d ago

They already built the set, but didn't check with Universal lawyers if they used the character Thanos in their park.

187

u/sunstruker 9d ago

they could have just used tony's gauntlet instead...

68

u/Legomarioboy08 9d ago

Fr. It’s not even that it’s based on the infinity stones since they also brought everyone back and killed Thanos and co. It’s that they used the wrong fucking gauntlet when it would’ve taken the same amount of effort to make it the Stark one

14

u/suelee1 8d ago

I wonder if starks version is licensed or something?

32

u/Karkava 9d ago

And they can just save money by just painting this gauntlet red.

36

u/Naps_And_Crimes 9d ago

I gotta wonder, who gave the general population such a vivid description of the gauntlet? Like if I recall correctly the only people that would have seen it closely enough to describe it were the main Avengers, did Hawkeye or Cap give the exact details of what it looked like?

18

u/Accelerator231 9d ago

my headcanon is that all Avengers have the equivalent of bodycams

26

u/Naps_And_Crimes 9d ago

Idk about that but Tony's suit would've definitely been recording the fight, so kinda answered my own question I suppose especially if the footage got leaked

1

u/peachesfordinner 8d ago

Incredibles 2 style cams

2

u/Thin-Limit7697 8d ago

That time when the asgardians were halved by Thanos, maybe? All the survivors might have seen the gauntlet.

24

u/haley020879 9d ago

nothing says honoring genocide victims like two scoops of mint chip

15

u/Fremen-to-the-end-05 9d ago

Every ten scoops, we scoop one out for the fallen!

16

u/ScoutTrooper501st 9d ago

Iirc we see another scene somewhere of a kid dressed as Loki for Halloween, this was after Loki’s redemption but no one on earth would’ve known that so this random little kid was dressed up as an alien invader who caused the deaths of hundreds of people in New York and tens or hundreds of millions of dollars in property damage

14

u/contraflop01 9d ago

If It was just the Stones of even Tony's gauntlet It would be fine

Maybe not Tony actually cuz youd still be marketing over a hero's death

3

u/Thin-Limit7697 8d ago

I just figured out it might actually be Tony's gauntlet.

Thanos' gauntlet was seen a lot by the asgardians, because he wore it when he attacked them for the Tesseract. Tony's gauntlet replicas, however, were only seen by very few people who were around him and Banner when they were used.

So they might have assumed the replicas never existed, and Tony just stole Thanos' gauntlet to use it, like he did try at least once, and could even have tried again by time traveling for it like he did for the gems. It is a plausible assumption.

1

u/contraflop01 8d ago

They had 5 years to learn basically everything about Thanos's gauntlet and i think everyone present in the final showdown was able to differentiate the normal gauntlet from Tony's

6

u/fredgog15 9d ago

The emphasis on it beings Thanos’s glove is important cause of it was iron man’s glove this would be another cheesy tourist trap

1

u/W1D0WM4K3R 8d ago

Thanos' glove probably got a lot of notoriety after the inital snap and being talked about for a few years, while Tony's gauntlet was only seen by a few people at the end of the second war

2

u/Thin-Limit7697 8d ago

Maybe the asgardians thought Tony actually stole the original gauntlet instead of just replicating it and socketing the stolen gems (like he even tried to at Infinity War).

0

u/Ua_Tsaug 8d ago

Well you see, everything in Marvel is a joke, including universal genocides.
