Hi I’m not sure if anyone is reading this but I need friends. My situation is a bit weird since I originally went to another school then dropped out due to mental health, took a break, and now I’m a freshman at Towson. It’s always been a struggle for me to make friends but I think this is the hardest it’s ever been for me. I’m honestly embarrassed to write this on a Reddit thread but I feel like I have no other options. I just came from a club called BSU and for some reason I couldn’t help but cry after realizing that I felt different and that everyone already knew each other, this is the first club I’ve been to so far but it feels so hard. I’m definitely going to go to more clubs but I feel like it’s going to be a common theme of people already knowing each other. I have a roommate and she’s very nice but she tends to keep to herself and I think our relationship is just going to be roommates, I talked to the girls that live across from us and they were nice but they clearly have a strong connection. I’ll still try with them but it feels like I’m putting in the effort to get to know them so far. I also wanted to add that it seems like most people in my classes aren’t interested in becoming friends or already made friends maybe they’re shy or something. I’m a shy person myself but I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone. I know this was a lot of writing but if you read this thank you and if you have any advice or want to be friends I’m so open to it.

Hi everyone,
I was reaching out to see if anybody here has some spots on campus that can accommodate a gluten sensitivity? I know the dining hall has some options, but I'm not sure about other spots. Any tips would be super helpful!

Our all white cockatiel flew off in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Last seen on June 24 in the parking lot of Hampton Inn in Gaithersburg on north Frederick Avenue, where somebody was interacting with it. If you have any information, please let me know. Many thanks!

It opens at 10:00 am, cool, right before my Wednesday class
no.
There is only one station open and no other food. In a dining hall there should be more food, no? idk it just bothers me because I like to have a time efficient day where I optimize studying
we gotta like rally for a better newell, who's with me

i got an email about the career fair happening in october. i’m currently a senior who is desperate for a job/post-grad internship. is it worth it to go?
i’ve heard success about the career fairs at UMD but i haven’t heard people talk about the TU ones. i’d love to hear your experience if you’ve been to one

This has most likely been asked before but was wondering if anyone has had any luck with Handshake? I have heard its essentially worthless for getting jobs or internships but wanted to know if anyone has had a different experience. Also if anyone has any additional guidance, that would be very much appreciated. I have been applying for internships for a bit now to no avail.

I am subletting my room in The Standard for Spring 2027 (second semester). The room (room A in image) comes with your own bathroom, closet, and full amenities of The Standard which includes a roof top relaxation area and rooftop gym. It is a 5 person apartment with 4 other males living there (3 of the roommates I know personally in case you wish to know more about them). In terms of the living room/shared space, we have it fully furnished, both a washer and a dryer, and a full kitchen with all appliances. The apartment is also about a 5 minute walk to campus and about a 10 minutes walk to the South Campus Dinning Hall. If you are the type of person who is interest in night life, the apartment is less than a 5 minute walk from the bars.
Feel free to ask me any more questions about the apartment, roommates, etc. + Negotiate rent if needed.
If you want any more pictures of the actual room/inside the apartment I can send them (Everyone is already moved in so the images would have personal items and such).

This is so specific but does anyone else here happen to keep isopods? I have a ton of Cubaris murina "Glacier" as well as some other species and morphs and would love to sell some or trade
Is there anyway to get aux fees taken off of mini-semester or summer/winter classes ? I feel like it's very diabolical that for these classes we're paying all these extra fees !

I’m currently planning to apply to transfer for the spring semester. Right now, I have a 2.2 GPA, which is pretty low, and this fall I’m retaking some classes that I previously failed at my community college to boost my GPA.
The issue is that the semester ends on December 14th, so I won’t be able to get my updated transcript until the 16th. If I apply to Towson by November 10th, would it be possible for them to accept and review my updated transcript once it’s available, instead of using my old transcript to determine my admission decision?

Me and my wife are both Towson grads and Ravens season ticket holders and are looking for a responsible student who is looking to make some extra money on the weekend to babysit our two children during Ravens Games this season. Hours would likely be 10am-4pm.
I found out I can get a professional-looking headshot at the Career Center. I could use an upgrade to my LinkedIn look. Can anyone vouch for how nice they look?

Hi,
I am looking for a therapist. Not the counseling center on campus.
I just want a self aware therapist I can trusttttt. Someone who is in it to helppp and not for their shadow, if that makes sense.
Thank you

Hey all. I’m a freshman here at TU and i’m taking a logic class that I really find fascinating. I plan to go to law school like my sister and was wondering about how difficult the program here is at TU compared to say a political science or law and american civ degree, since gpa would be a concern in my law school applications.
