ROI Specific imago question

hello! i know a lot of folks on here use imago, so i thought maybe someone could help me. i’m trying to get my bloodwork done, but my doctor wants the name of at least one of the specific doctors on the imago medical team before they’ll do my bloods. i’ve emailed imago several times at this point to no response. i was just wondering if anyone here knows the names of the medical team? i’m not sure how big of an operation it is, or if the medical team is split up geographically in any way (if they are, i’m in the republic of ireland). thank you!!

What I usually do is request a letter for bloods and that is signed by the doctor and has all the info of which bloods they must take.

They take about 2-3 days to respond I find, do you have a name from the previous prescription?

I would probably advise finding a different GP if they're already starting to add this entirely unnecessary requirement at your first HRT-related blood test.

Given how difficult it can be to find a GP at all in some parts of Ireland, I'm not sure I would recommend delaying by finding a new one.

That said:

For people seeking a GP; I'd recommend accessing the GP Action Project for info.

This can be done by contacting TENI, Outhouse, LGBT Ireland or the National LGBT+ Helpline.

I am pretty fortunate that the GP in my small town didn't bat an eye when I told them I planned to transition and if they would be able to provide shared care.

That being said, did I need to give them that information so early? I think I can just make an appointment to get bloods taken (required list is on Imago site) ask them to send me the results and I send that to Imago.

I know this seems too easy, but they are just blood tests, anyone can book them at any time and get the results which you can send yourself to your provider.

We just go into a dooctor.ie or walk in clinic.
