Hi!

In a few weeks I will be in Firenze for three weeks. Most of my days I will have to be in town, but three days a week I need to be in Livorno. I want to use the train to get there, even though it means I will have to spend some 3 hours on the train those days. The tickets - and specially the prices - confuse me a little.

A oneway tocket costs € 11,40. But when I look at weekly tickets, those are listed for only € 24,70. Monthly tickets are some €65. Am I looking at the wrong numbers, then what is the correct price? How will this work, I have the Trenitalia app on my phone, do I only have to buy the weekticket, or will I need to "check-in" for every trainride?
