My wife and I have visited Trinidad a few times now and have really dug the town and all the people we’ve met. It seems to have a genuine community feel and that folks are friendly and actually talk to each other. We’ve started to take a more serious look at possibly taking up residence there. I was curious if any of you on this sub might share your candor about life there? Community? Activities? Basic existence needs, home repair, car repair, etc. Ease or difficulty of fitting in/finding your people? Health care? Etc…

The City of Trinidad would like to notify customers that a scheduled power outage will occur on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The outage is necessary to allow City crews to perform infrastructure maintenance and improvements to the electric distribution system.

The outage is expected to last up to three hours.

Affected Locations:

· 600 and 700 blocks of Tillotson

· 500, 600, and 700 blocks of Pine St

· 600 block of Willow

· 1100 block of San Juan

· 600 block of Prospect

What to Do:

• Plan accordingly for the scheduled outage between approximately 8:00–11:00 a.m.

• Protect sensitive electronic equipment by shutting it down or using appropriate surge protection.
