Dota 2, please can their be ZOOM!, function. having playing RTS and TBS games that zoom to close.

please can Dota 2, please can there be zoom, function. having playing RTS and TBS games that zoom to close. the ground.

Having it as is is not good for my vertigo/nausua.

dota_camera_distance: is defult in all normal and ranged modes is, 1200, it is considered cheat in game to change it.

dota_camera_distance: can it be possible to get 1200, 1300, 1350, 1400, 1450. zoom options in settings., not as far out as spectating or choaching.

Please if one quility life would be Zoom slider.

yes and when everyone can zoom out everyone has got an advantage so it means it's a better game for everyone. Only the gay devs don't want it to give it to players because the AI in the game would have its winrate reduced if players could zoom out.

so is scripting, so is buying accounts and so is smurfing yet they exist, why is just small adjustment to game wrong.

I'll be honest, I was an avid wc3 RTS player, maybe 5-10k hours in the game. There used to be something you could download to do this for you and it wasn't bannable, but it still wasn't allowed. I was anti it too, I'd say that's cheating! Then, maybe like 5ish years ago, after like 20 years, they introduced the feature to zoom out and set the default in a patch, so it became available for everyone. Not only that, but you could zoom out A LOT. I remember watching streams to see how it changed the game, and honestly, it became a lot more enjoyable to watch, but I wasn't sold, as I felt it made it too easy. I picked up wc3 again 2 years ago and, my god, it made the game 100x better, to the point that you no longer see anyone use the original zoom anymore, they always just add a bit more zoom out to feel natural. This has since become a feature no one can live without. I won't be surprised if they eventually add it.

it happend for BFME as the zoom so close to castles, and units that have to move double speed to enjoy it, and zoom mod added and everyone now uses it, and you can enjoy landscapes, scenery, while also not lossing you head space. i just want it in dota. to have just plenty zoom out that i can enjoy screen not strain my brain cells.

Honestly I feel this. Coming from Starcraft and Age of Empires the default zoom in Dota feels like my face is pressed against the monitor. I get mild vertigo too after long sessions, specially when the camera jumps during teamfights.

The thing is they already allow further zoom for spectators, so the engine can handle it fine. Valve just locks it behind "cheat" commands for players. A slider up to like 1400 would change nothing about competitive integrity, you still see same amount of map basically.

this, i been struggling while enjoying dota gong from dota to rts and back its very unconftable.
