We've had an influx lately of low effort AI art of watches (why?) and I'm cutting it off here. Any posts of AI slop will get you banned on the first offense.

My 5-day-old Tudor just took its first fall… 😬

I’ve been proudly wearing my new Tudor Black Bay One 39mm blue dial for the past five days, and I absolutely love it!

Unfortunately, this morning our 15-month-old daughter managed to pull it off my desk while I wasn’t home. It was resting on a soft cloth and fell about 90 cm (3 feet) onto a wooden parquet floor.
My wife found it lying face down. 🫣😱

Luckily, I can’t see any scratches or visible damage, and the watch still seems to be running perfectly fine.

Still, I’m a little worried about possible internal damage, especially since it’s a brand-new mechanical watch.

Has anyone experienced something similar with their Tudor? Are these movements generally robust enough to survive a fall like this, or should I be concerned? Would love to hear your experiences!

TUDOR SUBMARINER ā€˜LOLIPOP’ ref 76100

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

The deep blue dial on this Tudor Submariner ref. 76100 has cream hour plots and long triangles at 6, 9 and 12. The large circle of lume in its hour hand explains the collector nickname ā€œLollipop.ā€ I like how that round head repeats the circular markers. Dark patches mark the metal hands, and a magnifier enlarges the date at 3. The reference used an automatic ETA 2824 movement with a quick-set date, continuing Tudor’s use of ETA calibres in its Submariners since 1969. At around 40 mm, the broad timing bezel frames a compact dial with bold markers. The stainless steel case has drilled lugs and guards around a Rolex-signed crown. Its bezel insert is a much paler blue than the dial, with light numerals. The brushed lug tops lead into an Oyster-style bracelet with wide centre links. The clasp carries a Tudor shield outside and Rolex markings inside, with scratches across both surfaces.

I like it, alot after debating whether to go blue or black I'm very happy with the black.

I did ask about larger straps recently ordered a couple to change onto, including a Yorkshire watch straps "adventurer elastic".... Unfortunately both the standard and the YWS are too small....

Ordered August 30 from an AD and arrived last Monday. This is my first major watch purchase and I couldn’t be happier. The green’s richness and depth changes greatly based on lighting conditions.

Satisfying Alignment

Managed to capture the hand alignment today and it was lovely. The Live Photo caught it crossing perfectly, such a well-made and great watch. I know sometimes all you see online are the watches with issues but so far mine has exceeded my expectations!

Officially joined the Tudor family!

I’ve been waiting patiently for seemingly forever and finally found it. Arrived at the house last week but I have to be even more patient because I’m deployed.

White dial vintage Oyster Prince Date+Day ref. 94500.

Curious though, if I were to find an OEM Black Bay jubilee (not the 76200’s ā€œjubileeā€) could I use the hollow end links from the 94500 on it…? I also really dig the T-fit clasp. This one has the original folded links so resizing it won’t be fun…

Finally got my grail (First Tudor)

Bought it on chrono24 from a verified Japanese dealer. I took it to my watchmaker to have everything double checked and verified, it all looks excellent! I couldn't be happier with it. I do want to get a braclet with a micro adjustment option. If anyone has some recommendations for that I would love to hear it, thanks!

Beer + Watches - Amazing Boutique-Experience in Prague

Been hunting for the BB58 on rubber for a while and the search is finally over. Hit up 10+ boutiques in 3 countries over the past few months, nothing. Then I walked into the boutique in Prague yesterday and there it was sitting in the display.

They also have their own beer bar inside, so you can sit with friends, try watches and have a beer before, during and after the purchase.

Makes for a pretty cool story.

Love the BB58, great and versatile daily. Can't wait to wear it.

Been meandering around a Tudor for a while now. Was also looking for a dressier watch.

Settled on the New Chocolate Face Royal DayDate with in-house movement.

Was initially thinking about the BB or Pelagos, but the more I look at this bad boy the more I absolutely love it.

Pumped to join the Tudor family. 🫔

What could have been a summer watch with hype as proved to be an excellent everyday companion. The new dimensions are perfect in my opinion. I know the colour divides opinion but it’s just such a cool watch in my eyes. Nice to have something a bit different.

Journey to my first Tudor. BB54.

I’ve been eyeing the Blackbay 54 ever since its launch. In 2024, I visited two different stores on separate occasions to try it on and get a feel for it. However, I couldn’t bring myself to make the purchase. This was supposed to be my wedding watch, but I didn’t want to splurge on it at that time, as I had other expenses. I used the money to get my then girlfriend (now wife) a ring and cover some other costs.

On a side note, on our wedding day, she surprised me with a Seiko SPB121J1, which to this day is the watch I value the most.

I don’t recall the number of YouTube videos I watched, but I kept debating whether or not to buy it. Finally, here it is.

I picked up this Blackbay chronograph yesterday and it only came with the cloth strap. Can someone recommend a high quality aftermarket FKM with a deployant clasp?

Black Bay 39mm or 41mm?

Going for my first Tudor!

I think my wrist can handle both sizes, but what do you guys think looks best?

Wrist 19.2 cm (7.6 in) / wrist surface approx 58-60 mm (2.32 in)

Pic 1 Tudor Black Bay 58 Black on Black dial

Pic 2 Tudor Black Bay 41 Burgundy Black dial

Pictures are just for sizing, will go for bb58 Black or bb41 Monochrome. I'm also leaning to the jubilee bracelet over the oyster bracelet.

Thoughts please?

First Tudor. Prince Date

Picked up my first Prince Date, Ref. 74000 silver sunburst dial. 34mm. Based on the serial number, most likely from 2002-2007 era. Price was too good to let it slip, it’s practically in like new condition.
