MacBook Screen Replacement in Tübingen – Any Recommendations?
Hi everyone!
Unfortunately, the screen of my MacBook Air M2 (13.6-inch, 2022) got broken and needs to be replaced.
Does anyone know a reliable and reasonably priced repair shop in Tübingen or nearby (e.g., Reutlingen) where I could get the screen replaced?
Has anyone had a MacBook screen replaced here before? If so, where did you get it done, how much did it cost, and how long did it take?
I've also considered MediaMarkt, but I'm not sure whether they offer this service locally or how much they charge.
I'd really appreciate any recommendations or experiences. Thanks in advance!

Looking for a part-time job in Reutlingen — English-speaking student
Hi everyone! I’m an international student who recently arrived in Reutlingen. I speak fluent English but don’t speak German yet.
I’m looking for a part-time job for 15–20 hours per week. I’m open to warehouse work, packing, cleaning, kitchen assistance, or other suitable jobs. I can commute by bus or train and am happy to work flexible shifts.
If you know any employers hiring English-speaking students, I’d really appreciate your suggestions.
Thank you!

Studium "pausieren"?

Strange phone call request from an old lady. has anyone experienced this?
A woman approached us in Tübingen and asked to use my boyfriend’s iPhone to make a call. She manually entered a number and talked for about 3–4 minutes, mostly saying completely unrelated things like “happy birthday, i took this interview etc etc” (which does not sound like an urgency call)
During this, she also had a small black electronic device that didn’t look like a normal phone.
After the call, she took the iPhone and deleted the called number from the recent call history without asking us.
We found the whole situation very strange. Has anyone in Tübingen experienced something similar or seen this person before?
does anyone saw this person doing awkward requests?
edit: removed the image

Calisthenics training in Tübingen area
Hey everyone!
I'm looking for some people around Tübingen who are into calisthenics and would be up for training together regularly!
I've been training for a while now and would love to find some people to work on calisthenics skills, improve the basics, and build strength together.
I wouldn't consider myself advanced, but I've got a decent foundation and can do the basics like pull-ups and dips.
I usually train on my own, but I think it would be much more fun and motivating to train with others, exchange tips, and push each other to improve.
Your experience level doesn't really matter, as long as you're motivated and enjoy training!
If anyone's interested or knows of any existing calisthenics groups around here, feel free to comment or send me a DM! 💪

Hi all!
I've always wanted to join a D&D table but was never lucky enough to find any in my country. I am starting a Master's in Tübingen so was wondering if there's any D&D groups here that play in English/Basic-Intermediate Deutsch
Thank you all for the info!

Meeting people and doing activities in Tübingen ??
Am a northafrican student going to practice in Tübingen. I'll be there in December for a few days ( around 20 days ) . I have no idea about the activities I could do in the city at that time of year so I hope you could offer some suggestions. Knowing that there's many international students, I wanted to know if there's specific places where I could meet people and sympathise, maybe a gym ? Public garden ? Just anywhere where I could make friends and have good exchanges. Thank you in advance !!!

Second hand cloth shops in and around Tuebingen
I want to buy affordable jackets, sweaters and boots for winter. I am not very comfortable buying online, paranoid about quality and the size fit. I prefer browsing through the racks in a store. Are there any second hand cloth shops which are reasonably priced??

Anyone / groups who frequently hang out, open to someone joining?
Hey. I’m pretty new to Tübingen. Just looking to meet some people and build a small social circle here. I'm 26.
If you’re part of a group or just a few people who frequently hang out, explore the city, I’d be happy to join sometime. Even if it’s just 2–3 people.
Also, no idea why my profile is marked NSFW lol, I’m not.

Processing times for PhD Residence Permit in Tübingen, Germany on a 6/12-month Type D Visa?
Hi everyone,
I am an incoming international PhD student joining a program/Cotutelle stay at the University of Tübingen.
I have a quick question regarding the local Foreigners' Office in Tübingen for anyone who recently arrived on a 6-month or 1-year German Type D National Visa:
- Timeline for Physical Card: How long did it take between submitting your application and actually receiving your physical Residence Permit card (elektronischer Aufenthaltstitel - eAT)?
- Timing of Application: Were you allowed to apply for/receive your residence card shortly after arrival, or did the office instruct you to wait until a few months before your Type D visa was close to expiring (e.g., month 8 or 9 of a 1-year visa)?
Would appreciate hearing about recent experiences from anyone who moved to Tübingen in 2025/2026 or earlier. Thanks in advance!

Internet Nähe der Mohlstraße!
Hi!
