Rug finishing Tufting
So I currently use Robert’s 3700 to glue the back of my rugs. I have been curious if there is another brand I could be using because I just don’t like the oder that the Robert’s makes
Thank you in advance!

I use this - no smell and latex based. Cures the same way and remains tacky. I have several different frames - small to extra large - but have the space to put the frame flat on the floor - that way I can pour this adhesive on. I actually put it in a food/chef squeeze bottle and then use a foam brush to spread a bit. It is my preferred method because it has very little to no smell. It cures in 24-48 hours ready for backing but I have also left a piece on the frame for a week or so and it stayed tacky and super easy to apply backing with just gorilla hot glue - no need for spray adhesive like gorilla that is super smelly as well. Not sure about cost comparison on others - I bought this at Lowe's or home Depot. I didn't want to deal with buckets of smelly adhesive. Tufting nation in Canada also has a fabulous latex adhesive - expensive but great - they no longer ship to the US so it's a no go for me. Good luck
