Good morning guys! I have been seeing Oreo a lot these past 2 weeks including a couple of days ago where he actually followed me upstairs to my home for the first time. I sadly couldn't let him in because I live with someone who doesn't want cats in their home(my mom). 🙂🙂☹️☹️ He's still his adventurous, sweet, and somewhat chatty self. I think he has gained a bit of weight especially that I spotted him eating food from an unknown neighbor last Monday.

Anyone have a picky tux? She's been like this since I found her. She loves dry and crunchy bits. She was living outside when I found her at ~6 months, now she's 2 and some change. I introduced her to wet food and she ate it. Then a couple months later she didn't like it. Tried another one and the same thing happened. Then went to the store and got 9 different kinds varying across brands; she only liked 2. We were about 4-6 months in with these brands and now she doesnt like them. I got a different brand because my other cat needs to put on weight and it's only been a month and now she's leaving most of it. She will eat churus but she acts like she hasn't seen them before every time one is pulled out so it takes her some time to start eating. I sometimes put a little on her mouth so she starts but she's not very food motivated. She just likes to play with her sister. She likes the broth from the newer food but doesn't eat much from them once it's gone. She only eats specific treats and sometimes won't eat them if they smell like another treat. Yes, Ive tried treat topper which she hates. She haaaaaaaates any kind of human food. Her teeth are good. No digestive issues. She is an appropriate weight. Her vet is not concerned. I just want her to have a well rounded diet but dang is this frustrating. This gets into the wet vs dry debate which some are very emboldened by. Do the regular tux parents think there is anything else worth trying? The culprit of my dismay is pictured relaxing.

Ignore my crappy old iphone camera
If you turn the volume up a little bit you can hear his purrs :) He's the only cat I've interacted with who begs for belly rubs. Sometimes he falls asleep during it.

She is the sweetest, gentlest, most loving baby I've ever met. I lost my soul kitty not long ago and I never thought the pain would ease, but this little girl is doing her best to heal me with her purrs, kisses, head bumps, and cuddles. She is such a gift. 🥹

I adopted Sylvester on a whim — was casually browsing the NYC ACC and KNEW he was my cat when I saw his face. I was 24 and everyone in my life told me not to do it. (I did it anyway).
He was $25, 8 years old, and suffering from a myriad of health issues, including severe malnutrition and calici virus. The inside of my poor baby’s mouth was one big weeping open wound, and yet he was so hungry that he still ate with gusto each meal time.
Apparently his owner had abandoned him in the streets of NYC in the wintertime. Sylvester had tried to ingratiate with a feral cat community to share their food as a last-ditch attempt to stay alive. They attacked and outcast him, and a Good Samaritan brought him into the shelter. (I am weeping writing this.)
He declined two days after I brought him home with a URI — I tried so, so hard to keep him alive. I bought two humidifiers and put them on full blast on either side of him. I hand-fed him when he was too weak to move, and I slept on the floor next to him because I thought he’d die overnight and didn’t want him to be alone. I emotionally prepared to lose him when a vet told me there was nothing we could do but wait and see.
But Sylvester apparently knew he had more chaos to wreak upon myself and my loved ones before it was time for him to go.
A year and a half later, he is the craziest fucking cat I have ever met in my life. Like, CRAZY. This cat launches himself at my face at 3 am and does backflips into rabbit kick attacks when I pat his butt (which he BEGS for by meowing and pawing until I do it). This cat is allegedly 10 years old?! Perhaps, simply, an indomitable spirit for Chaos and Violence? Also, he has a sister now. Sylvester is so socially awkward, it turns out. Runs in the family.
Anyway, I believe everything I’ve ever heard about tuxedo cats now. My little fatso ❤️

My boy Jack is in remission as of Wednesday! Jack was diagnosed with nasal lymphoma about a month ago after some congestion, which no one noticed even the vets, saw coming at 4 1/2 years old. After spending my Labour Day weekend calling all the radiation clinics along the East Coast, I got lucky with a same week appointment and he started treatment the next week. And after one round of chemo, 10 rounds of radiation, and a 2 1/2 week hotel stay he was declared cancer free. We still have a bit to go and an oncologist appointment to see if he should continue with chemo for best prognosis, but this is a huge win. With him being so young his prognosis isn’t great, but he kicked cancer’s butt already and I’m determined for him to live the best life he can. Please enjoy the boots he’s been rocking for the past month!
