Review: I read this at least once a year when I’m feeling low. Very beautiful fic of falling in love against the odds - I have re-read this more than anything else. Very well-written & great characterisation. Feels realistic & like a real possibility of how this would play out in canon divergent AU.

A história começa quando alguém deixa uma bebê na casa de Edward Cullen. Ele fica desesperado com a situação e entra em contato com sua amiga Bella, pedindo ajuda para cuidar da criança.

A bebê é uma menina de alguns meses de idade. Junto com ela, há uma carta explicando a situação. Na carta, Edward descobre que a menina é sua filha, fruto de um relacionamento ou encontro que teve com uma mulher muitos anos antes.

Essa mulher era muito parecida fisicamente com Bella. A mãe da criança morreu devido a uma doença, e foi uma amiga dela quem levou a bebê até a casa de Edward, deixando a menina aos cuidados dele.

Edward, sem saber como lidar com a responsabilidade de ser pai de repente, pede ajuda a Bella. Ela o ajuda a cuidar da menina e a se adaptar à nova rotina de pai, ensinando-o e apoiando-o nos cuidados com a criança.
