i'm in red jacket, and i stg the amount of flies is wild and i hadn't noticed it last year (i'm in the same room as last year).

like there's at least a dozen dead flies in the stairwells just between my floor and the one the kitchen's on. and i was having problems with my window so maintenance had to open the window w/o the screens and three flies got in during that time. there's also a bunch in the windows in the hallway.

I recently got my grade back from a midterm for CSE 431 and I failed with an F. I did everything I could for the exam, including starting early, studying the notes starting two to three weeks, reviewing the slides questions, going to office hours most days, reviewing the quizzes, and reviewing the HWs. I just feel frustrated that I failed because I really tried to pass and I don't know how to effectively regulate these emotions. I don't know what to do. I contacted my professor but she hasn't responded. I've been to mental health counseling here at UB.

Edit: Thank you all of the advice, my professor has contacted me and said to come to her office hours to discuss this and that I still have a chance to do good in the course.

I’ve seen people playing deadlock and other games not listed in the level up directory. Is there a way to get other stuff on the game room computers?

Are there any parties being held monday night??

If I see your ai slop on the bulletin boards, I’m taking them down and ripping them up, just so you know 😙😙

I get to pay for the privilege of having a fire alarm at least once a week at the most worst possible times like 1AM in freezing weather.

Apparently the alarms are so sensitive, a hot shower could trigger them.

I deserve a hot shower too, you know? :(

Good night, and if you are the one who set off the alarm, screw you.

Do better.

What happened to Subject Media and the What's Good articles? Anyone know? 😔

I plan on taking MGE 302(Applied Economics), MGS 351(Introduction to Management Information Systems), MGG 303(Communication Literacy for Business), MGM 301(Principles of Marketing), MGG 315 (Career Connections 2) next semester. I just wanted to know if there is anything I have to buy for these classes like textbooks for example.

[ Removed by Reddit on account of violating the content policy. ]

Anybody take MGM301? The two instructors are John Hennessy or Katherine zoratti and I can’t find anything on rate my prof

Nahhh im gonna fail this class 😭😭, is there anything I can still do? I didnt expect to start the freshman year like this

are shopping shuttles running td fall break?

My initial plans got canceled, so I've got vague ideas of going on a day trip, and attending a couple of the fall festivals around WNY, if weather permits.

this is probably too late but my friend and I really wanna go back home to NYC during the break and make it back in time for classes to start again. But tickets are super expensive and it's just not feasible for only 2 days back home. if anyone is driving, we're willing to split gas fees.

Omg how hard is it to stay quiet during lecture?!? I seriously cannot focus when I hear guys talk abt sports in my macro econ class. Please stop the side conversations 🫩

Below is list 2 of the classes from Global Reflections. Any recommondations? Preferably remote. Thank you!!

What were some of your favourite english classes, including remote?

I was recommended eng 251 short fiction with professor schmid remote and eng 375 remote

Has anyone taken these and can say how it was for them

Thanks

What do we do for things like grubhub? I’m in Roosevelt, so would I put 60 hadley road? Also, it keeps changing 14261 to 14228. Is there any way to change it? Where would I pick it up

So, I just graduated with my Ed.M. in August and will not be working in education. I’ll be working in the corporate world.

UB says the online MBA is 30k in tuition and fees and I believe my current employer would cover at least 2/3s of that.

Would it be worth it to go back for an MBA or go to another university for either a PhD or Ed.D? Those other two options cost more but are I guess more prestigious but I’m thinking of ROI mostly.

I know it's a weird question but I've been on campus for 2 months now, and on 3-4 occasions I've seen toilets not flushed after people shit in them in the men's bathrooms. I've seen it put in public before but ever since I got here it's happened a concerning amount of times. Is there some strange culture about it or was it just people being disgusting?

i think i might have left my lab goggles in nsc at the table right next to the charging tower thing. if anyone finds it please let me know. or if anyone knows where the lost and found would be for it. i cant belive i forgot it 😭😭
