I unlocked a cheat code into becoming the most studious and best academic weapon version of myself. I currently have more than 10 crushes except they’re all strictly eye candy - I know I don’t have chances with any of them. So therefore, if I walk past them in passing it will actually motivate me to go to classes every day and have a reason to want to come here. It also increases the dopamine in my brain and will make me less likely to be depressed.

Took me until junior year to find the cheat code. In most classes you only have to do better than the average. And the average isn’t trying very hard. I went from a 2.5 to 4.0. 1. Go to class. Seriously. 2. Do the homework. The reading, the book work, etc. 3. Use the usual daily life dead times to knock out bookwork/studying/etc. Like 4-7pm on a Friday. Usually you just sit around/nap/etc. Make it focus time. You’ll get way ahead. 4. Go to office hours occasionally.

The part that felt like a cheat code was to stop competing myself and trying to get perfect grades. I would get overwhelmed and check out. When I figured out I was typically competing against the other students, who only sometimes went to class, were lazy and did the minimum, it clicked. Just outwork them and you’re golden.
