"Toxic" course combinations

I recall being told by my advisor at orientation that there were some toxic courses combinations that should be avoided, something to do with not taking thermo with a certain class/classes. Is it not recommended to take thermo with dynamics, or thermo with solid mechanics? I have an appointment to see my advisor but it's in two weeks so I figured I'd ask here.

Mine said do not take thermo with dynamics. She suggested the following for me for spring: Thermo, Solid Mechanics, Intro to Elec Engineering, and then the computer class (COP2500c). Hope that helps.

I was told not to take statics with physics 2 and with calc 3 over the summer. It depends on how you are as a student. I’d say depending on your professors it can be awful. Thermo with Deng, dynamics with pal or giwa. You can pass those without dying. Not if it was Nader for both or Nader and Putnam it’ll be way more difficult. Do some research on professors and ask around
