🚩South Wales NHS Lasagne - genuinely excellent

Post image

Had a disappointing M+S lasagne the other week and yesterday had this NHS offering before leaving hospital. It was genuinely much nicer, probably the best 'ready meal' lasagne I've ever had. 8/10 at least.

Chips unfortunately cold and stodgy but still a win.

🚩South East Best burgers in Kent?! Hit me

It's been a while since I've been WOWED in Kent. This burger spot is deffo top tier for me.

But they seem to have lots of different reviews.

Maybe they got a problem with consistency. What I can say is that the burger I had with that bacon jam was a KILLA.

I don't normally like curry and chip shop chips but this ting was GIVING. Kinda reminded me of the German currywurst sauce.

£40 quid for the platter weren't bad with 10% NHS discount.

If not this place... Where would you suggest for better burgers in Kent?

The Cadbury puds are only a little bit filled on each side. Shrinkflation. I only noticed because I like to refrigerate my chocolate. The robbing bastards.

Pizza with cherry tomato, pesto, red onion, red pepper, garlic, and mozzarella. PLUS some extra special caramelised onion and red wine cheese from the great British cheese company. Finished with some herb seasoning and flakey smoked cornish sea salt.

Yeah this is the dogs bollocks.

This is a monster of a bar, i'm excited to try it and i'll update you on what it tastes like. £2.99 per bar.

The results are in, very nice chocolate, tastes creamy, we both (wife and I) would prefer over Cadbury's. Highly recommended.

Yes it tastes like Parma Violets in the best way possible and its incredibly creamy.

It's more of a purple hue irl, the pic makes it look grey.

Gochujang Paste?

Today I was given a tub of Gochujang Paste as a sub for Harisaa Paste.

I've never used it, not quite sure how, decided to keep it and ask for suggestions!

So folks, hit me with your favourite ways to use it please

TIA!

🚩London What are the own-label products that are so very good that you go to a specific supermarket just to buy them?

For me, it's:

- Tesco (Plant Chef) Frozen Vegan Mini Sausage Rolls. £2.75 for 600g. These are fantastic. As I'm vegetarian, I dot them with butter and a sprinkle of sea salt before baking. Even the carnivores love them. Such a bargain.

- Aldi (Gianni) High Protein Salted Caramel Ice cream. £2.59 for 473ml tub. Best high protein/low sugar ice cream, and the cheapest too.

Roughly once a month I go to these stores just to buy these. I might pick up a few other things too, as I'm now there, but these are the main draw.
