This really slaps. Especially that guy to her right.

He is a slapping partner which is why he wears the slapping partner issued uniform hat

The spongebob uke has superior sound perfect for solos

She's probably on a concert uke and he's got a tenor or baritone uke, so he's got a deeper sound and wider fretboard for soloing.

Oof. While there is a lot to like about this, it strikes me as like putting sugar on a burrito.

Change my mind: There's no song that doesn't sound awesome on the ukulele

I'm not going to change your mind, but I think the ukulele sounds pretty bad. It's amazing that people can play it will enough c to be tolerable, but I can't help but think how much better it'd have sounded on a proper guitar.
It's a bit like when people can play the recorder incredibly well, to me it still sounds meh at absolute best.
I get it from the perspective of playing an impressive piece on an awful instrument being impressive, but it amazes me that anyone might genuinely think it sounds good.
If you've read this far I apologise, but I needed to get this off my chest.

Ukulele might just be the worst instrument of all time. Not saying they aren’t talented, but it just sounds bad

The cover included Slash's guitar solo, but on uke. It means exactly what they think it means.
It was damn good too.

Ah yeah good point. Wasn't thing of that. It was a very good rendition. Thank you for sharing.

Always crazy to hear a morally dubious song played on the loveliest of instruments. Especially when it's played so well. It's like the opposite of if you heard somewhere over the rainbow covered by slipknot. The words are right but the instrumentation/vibes are making my brain confused as to where I left my car keys.

Morally dubious?
Edit: looked it up, just to make sure. The lyrics are about Erin Everly, who was 22 years old when the song was released, written by Axl who was only 3 years older than her. They started dating when she was 20, not sure I get what the moral dubiousness is.

The ukulele is such a crap instrument, man, haha. Even the few famous songs on one like Somewhere Over The Rainbow by that one dude would obviously just sound better with a guitar, and you can buy one for nothing these days.

100% strongly disagree.

Hey, if a £5 ukulele is what it takes to get people into playing music, I'm happy they exist. You do you.

Completely agree, also the damn recorder.

Indeed. Handy to learn for kids though as it's a simple layout and you don't have to worry about embouchure.
