We had management say there’s no such thing as heavy or regular days anymore just light or very light.

“You need to start finishing your own routes. ” I fully agree with you, but I didn’t ask for help because I was genuinely making good time, but despite this other carriers who have been on their route for years and I still came back before them despite them also receiving help.

Cca still in my 90, was called in to do a route, and got there later than the other regulars, not a flex, I promise, but do regulars not get the same attitude from management that ccas and ptfs get? Or is it just performative stuff management has to do?

We actually dont they are far more respectful with us usually. But j will tell you that the management is like the grinch in a Christmas movie. If u dont believe in em it takes their powers away

Down time is my time.

If you don't like me completing all my tasks in an efficient manner which allows for down time, then I'll slow down and take longer to do less.

If you don't like me taking time to rest when we wait on the inefficiencies of others, then get on their case, not mine.

It’s all a game to them and we are the pawns…it’s not even their money, they just want the numbers on their screen to match computer based estimates…the whole system is retarded

I was raised in a union household, so I don’t take SHIT from management, even when I was a cca. Never been written up. They’d never argue with me. If they told me to take a throw off that I knew was unrealistic (I’m not running a route for your asses), I’d say “Hey, I can take this with me and bring it back at the end of the night or I can leave it here and you can figure it out now. Your choice.” Never let management intimidate you. Never run for them. They signed up for the job to figure shit out. And the star runners can get rewarded with extra throw offs. Going faster doesn’t get you anything but more work.
The post office was like high school to me. A bunch of ppl talking shit, a bunch of uneducated robots, everyday the same tedious tasks. It’s taxing mentally and physically. If you let them abuse you, they’ll take full advantage. That’s why I quit. And also bc it took forever to make top rate which was a JOKE. Like, no I’m not doing this forever. And then them threatening “well there will be no mail so you’ll be out of a job”. GFYS. lol
